MAGPIES TEAM TO PLAY JETS IN NSW CUP
3/08/2010 4:28:14 PM

Western Suburbs Magpies Coach Leo Epifania has named his team to play Newtown Jets at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday, August 7, in round 22 of the NSW Cup.

The Magpies sit in fifth position on 25 points. The Jets sit second on 31points, one point behind competition leaders Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Kick-off is 3pm.

1 Rhys Pritchard
2 Kieran Turner
3 Andrew Everingham
4 Nu Akeripa
5 Gus Aiga
6 Ben Falcone
7 Nathan Waters
8 Alex Ranieri
9 Kurt Kara
10 Duan Poaneki
11 Andrew Pearn
12 Josh Davis
13 Jamie Sharkie

14 Troy O’Sullivan
15 David Harris
17 Dean Rysko
19 Michael Stolk

Is this Rysko's first game back? Seems to have been out a fair while, didn't think he was going to make it back this season.

No Fitzy eh…

He must be in the mix as the replacement for McKinnon should he not pull up. Otherwise he'd be named.

Moors?

Or did he get injured against BRET?

He got injured a couple of weeks ago. Due back in round 23 from a rib complaint.

Team is named before the Wests Tigers players are made available to State Cup sides in order to meet media deadlines. Team named will change as per every other week - even jersey numbers will change. If you think otherwise then your delusional.

I'd say Skandalis will once again be with the Under 20s as they are playing a few hours later. Hopefully a few late inclusions to strengthen the Magpies around the park.

Would be good to beat the Jets for a change 😛ray:

Jets won 38-26.Wests were woefull in defence according to the report on facebook.Wests can't get over Newtown, still in the top 8 is better than not being up there though.Proberly need a few NRL blokes back ASAP.

Wasn't the greatest game by them. Daniella looked quite good in getting a couple of tries. They came back well and got it back to 32-26 with 5 to go but a late Newtown try killed them off. Pritchard at the back was dynamite. He played really, really well in attack. Just too many missed tackled by Wests cost them the game though. Some of the attempts at tackling were diabolical tbh but to their credit they still tried right to the end.

It was freezing at Campbelltown Stadium. Wests scored the first 2 tries and then they feel asleep AGAIN! Pritchard was really good. I don't know how Mitch Brown and Daniel Fitzhenry have kept Rhys Pritchard out of firstgrade. It is ridiculous. Anyway…

NEXT WEEK IN NSW CUP
Double Header @ Leichhardt Oval
Western Suburbs Magpies vs Melbourne Storm @ 1pm
Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers vs Cronulla Sharks @ 3pm

Pritchard really should look to move on, he will never get a go. Aside from the NRL players you've mentioned Latu and meany have both been picked for wing placement over him (I dont watch enough PL to know if these were correct calls by sheens). Its obvious sheens doesn't rate him so he should move on if he ever wants a chance to play NRL, he is in the same boat as Gower was.

Pritchad was best on the park. Excellent performance. Was offered a mid year contract by a NRL rival but Sheens rejected it because he was supposedly in line go be called up to the Wests Tigers (still waiting…) . Doubt he will be at Wests next season.... Brian Smith is a big fan.

Yeah Farlow has been "in the plans" according to Sheens for the last 3 years and never looked like getting a call up.

The sooner our juniors wise up and stop falling for Sheens' rubbish the better their careers will be

I didn't think Sheens could do that.
