Ok I apologise for my comment and referring to you as knucklehead Hap,but can you honestly explain why Luke hasnt been what we expected...and please leave out the "not good enough"excuse and give me a coherent reason please...

The simplest reason is the reason ...he isn't a consistent quality half and will only succeed behind an top quality pack

As Bob said ..he stayed because he is too fearful he wouldn't make it elsewhere ...and that ISN"T the player we need here

He won't succeed in 2021 in my opinion ...he just won't have that top quality forward pack he will need

But it's all good ..he will have 300 apologists on here to come up with 5 million excuses

Even not having a top quality pack is a piss poor excuse imo
Even when we’ve stumbled into the oppositions 20 he’s still got nothing .
Even Geo has dumped him for one of the village people .

Ouch !!!

Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon is a Prop
He likes playing both sides of a Hooker
I thought everyone knew that

Just having a chat to the partner of one of our assistant coaches (won't say who) but she's saying there's definitely still some problems at the club.

Some players not working together as a team and thinking they can just do their job and not help their team mates, others still questioning coaches at training. Madge has apparently softened up quite a bit since his first year at the club which probably isn't a bad thing nowadays.

Still a couple players that need to be moved on by the sounds of it but overall still heading in the right direction, just still trying to figure out the balance of being tough and keeping the players happy. Hopefully they can sort it sooner rather than later but these new guys seem keen to rip in

Yeah I’ve heard similar, and also the Luciano / Liddle argument at training was not a one off instance, they genuinely don’t like each other

Years and years of no finals and players like Robbie Benji etc running the club. Any young fellas who come in see the players run the joint and follow in their footsteps that's why it's so important to get rid of ALL those kinda blokes.

Defence is a worry if some players can't work as a team. All it takes is a couple blokes to throw the whole defensive line out. At least some of they have been moved on already but it makes me worry that we could be in for another long year and our culture is not fixed like some people think it is

It happens everywhere. Doesn’t make it good though. I’m really not into this ‘cuddle every individual’ mantra. It is ruining young people. Set the standards and expectations and if people don’t like it they can go elsewhere. This pandering needs to stop. It’s creating people like Tomic, Kyrgios, etc. over indulged and over exposed petulant brats whose behaviour and attitudes are never questioned.

Yeah communication is vital in defence and if Some players won’t even talk to each other in general it’s a bit hard. Like above poster mentioned, winning games will solve all issues though I bet

So Maguire is lying trough his teeth in the trial preview interview..interesting stuff..

I can see how having players at different stages in their careers or a number of new recruits, would make it easier for the group to faction off a little.
I don't want this to come across the wrong way but despite the common/shared goal, I would think differences in personalities and the fact some are younger while others are family men etc., would also impact the team dynamics.
So I ask, is this common in team sports? Does everyone really get along with each other?

Just wanted to add I don't think Ego is too bad a thing, I'm just disappointed we don't always see that at a competitive level.

Hopefully it's just the pre-season jitters.
Maybe there should be some team bonding exercises.

It wasn't anything bad mate, merely saying that there's still issues to be fixed at the club as if we didn't know that already!
