**Players not liking one another isn't anything new. I've played on plenty of successful teams, sometimes been a key player on them and not always gotten along with everyone. If you're winning you overlook it, if you're losing not so much. With that in mind I'm glad there's tension. There should be.**
Players don't need to get along with the coach for it to work either. Besides Bennett and Bellamy, how many teams have well-liked coaches? Even Bennett wears out his welcome pretty quick.
Thanks for this, as I posed a question earlier of whether it's common in Rugby League or not.
I understand results are obviously a team effort but surely the competitiveness would be the best incentive for players to work collaboratively and use to their own advantage - as motivation to improve their own personal game.
It also seems like it would also be easier to identify who's not being accountable or putting in, showing commitment and those sort of things. Or am I completely off the mark in my thinking?
This looks completely healthy to me.
**If I'm honest, the gossiping or bad mouthing about players is uncomfortable and appears somewhat a breach of confidence. Or questionable might be a better use of word.**
