That was one of the most complete performances we’ve had for a long long time. Tigers of old would’ve found a way to lose that game. Well done

Agree. However there were still some attempts to throw the game away. At the end of 80 mins, with 4 tries each , it was the goal kickers who decided the winner. A huge turn around. Adam nailed it.

A year ago if someone told told me we would be at 100% goal kicking coming into round 4 I would have laughed in their face.

Vinnie, I’m finding it hard to believe too.
How did they manage to turn this around? We’ve gone from nobody kicking at above 65% to having 2 kickers on 100% ??
Do they have a new kicking coach?

I read somewhere that Daryl Halligan was here during the off season.

Talking about refs....some of you younger guys wont know him but us older blokes like GEO,Hobbo,Happy.Russ,Cairnstiger etc etc will remember the great ......

Grashopper Gomersall....reffed heaps of early origins, world cup tests....
He was a legend with the whistle...unfortunately he passed away in 2007.....

They think some of these current Refs are biased.....

Really thought we made some ugly errors in that game that against a better side would have cost us dearly. Fortunately the Knights were off their game because the way we handed back control and momentum when we had it was very poor.
Our forwards are still not achieving competitive run metre totals - we are currently second last in metres gained. We simply can't seem to get on the front foot enough and until we do our halves will struggle. Quality NRL Forwards need to be cracking over 100 metres per game consistently.

Positives were:
AD much improved involvement in the game.
Brooks much improved game all round
Laurie improving each week
Stefano did great
Overall team performance to stay in the fight and comeback to win was really pleasing.

Negatives were:
AJ struggling as first grade winger- needs a solution
I thought Luc looked lethargic in D at times and his passing was horrible.
Disjointed backline play
Noticeably stopped moving up in D at times which led to Knights tries and breaks
Costly errors and poor attacking mistakes

The defence was still a concern at times with players being isolated and no one covering on the inside. We still have a lot of work to do in scrambling in this regard.

Attack looked better but the passing game can still be improved - JTJ needs more ball and I'd like to see Laurie lurking around the middle of the field supporting the forwards - although I note our offload count was abysmal yesterday. If it gets to the point where Simpkins gets a run, we need support off him due to his offload ability.

Wait did we even offload?

Maybe once i think
