Manly on course

Mateo will do them as much harm as he will do them good

Mason will be good to have around their two up and coming props

Mateo is rocks and diamond Diamond v Tigers ,Rocks v the 15 other sides

Mason will help Manly two young props ,can't think of their names Jake T and the other young fella who had his first year in grade

Good buys IMO.
Mateo is a beast.

Would have to be the strongest spine in the comp IMO.
Big year for em nxt year

This will be his 11th season in grade

And he still can't get himself mentally and physically right to play close to his optimum every week , you have to ask if he will ever find that happy medium

He would be asking for pretty big $$$ as well

Guy can play , but he produces it so rarely ,that's the issue

Very few players kill it week in week out….its a tough sport.
Much harder too for a ball player handling and offloading often, errors will come into play much more so than for a pure metre eater.
Theyre also reliant on their own forwards dominating much like halves in a way

Happy, you're crazy if you don't recognize what he's capable of. His only problem is lazyness

I dont reckon laziness is the problem at all, he has pretty decent workrate, and has excellent movement off the ball.

The problem with Mateo is that his skill set is a bit high risk/reward, this style of player is currently out of vogue at the moment with most coaches opting for plans that involve high possession rates building pressure and grinding teams into the ground.

In the 90's he probably would have played a lot of rep footy, Jim Dymock, Nik Kosef and to a lesser effect Darren Brow and Ian Russell were all similar in nature. (mind you Kosef had alot of other skills as well)

I think he is a very talented player who would be valuable to any team, despite his flaws
