The leader of the board is usually referred to as the Chair. At the meetings the chair usually leads the meeting by reading out the agenda and leading the discussion.

I'm glad I don't work in the corporate sector !
What a load of crap !

I think the new board members will do a great job and they have selected 3 talented, experienced business people

Yes we have done remarkable well picking up people with such business acumen

But they won't make the tackles on field ,change our on field mentality ,prevent injuries improve our recruitment processes

I care about our off field processes , but I care more about how many football games we win every season

The best run teams off the field win the most games on the field - look at the teams with problems off the field and how they have performed this year - Tigers, Knights, Sharks, Gold Coast have all had off field problems and that has shown on the field

No I think it comes down to the haves and the have nots

We are certainly in the have nots category and I can't see the Tigers any time soon joining the Haves

And when you are a have not you miss out everywhere

And that's what the NRL needs to fix asap or the gulf between sides will become monumental even though we have a salary cap which makes things "fair" and "equal"

Obviously we need to be better run and be ready to implement the changes coming under the new board

We need to become a have , or the advantages we have with our junior talent will be thrown out the window We have a limited window of success in our current situation

But it won't happen overnight ,that's for sure

I hope they are worth the wait, but let's hope our boards lack of nrl experience is faster to get traction than Dave Smith in the NRL. Not many problems sorted out there that I can see

Smith is turning the NRL into a financial Juggernaut in a very short amount of time. I'd say he's been incredibly successful. If our club could do half that well we would be NRL powerhouses.

Everyone freaking about the boards lack of business experience needs to get that a board makes business decisions not football decisions. Even hiring a coach is about picking a leader of men, not football tactics

Half of our problems have been caused by dumb ex-footballers left making business decisions.

The sooner Wests tigers gets run as a professional business rather than just a football club, the sooner you'll see results on the field..
