Mark Flanagan contract?

Sorry, but lacks sufficient size to be a good forward,& lacks pace to be a back.
Good guy that he may be,but unless something changes we just dont have a slot for him which wld otherwise go to a junior with potential to make it in 1st grade

lacks pace ? did you not see him make the brake against roosters in rd2 ?

He started off well but has gone off the boil. Does anyone know how long Sam Burgess is contracted to Souths, imagine he and Gareth in our pack!!

Burgess signed a 4 year deal with Souths, and with the forward talent coming through Tigers ranks I doubt the club will chase a guy who will command $500-600k a season in 3 years time.

I don't think he's put a foot wrong all season to be fair… he's defensively strong, doesn't make mistakes and always manages to get a hand free for an offload... its just no one is every there to capitalise... i think he'll be very solid for the Tigers next season whether it be coming from the bench or being used for depth...

With the talent coming through in Spence, Roqica, Woods & Murdoch, I think we need to make a decision in whether we let Flanagan & Moors go, or take the chance in losing a couple of these 20's.

Its a tough call?!

Woods and Murdoch are stand outs there…. I would let Spence and Roqica go, and keep Flanagan and Moors.

For me Juniors a solid player, but he's probably 38 and wouldn't have much time to go lol

Moors is a must keep! He's a very good player

Souths have Burgess on a $150,000 a season according to their books, which is a load of crap ,but he signed for 4 years.

Good on them I reckon. If they are clever enough to interpret the Salary Cap to allow them to have a player of Burgess's talent at $150k, and it's approved by the NRL, good on em!!!

Humpty…why didn't we arrange this???

No need to let either Spence or Roqica go, they can both play NYC next year. Personally I reckon both are future first graders, Spence in particular has an excellent tackling technique and Roqica is still growing.

the length of the season may have something to do with. don't forget he'd only played a handfull of games in the Super League before coming here. I hope we keep him - isn't he here because his girlfriend, an Aussie, was returning home. If that hasn't changed, I can't see him going back to the UK.

Warren McDonnell was able to get a work visa for Mark Flanagan for 2011\. He'll be playing here next year.

He's great for depth. And he's reliable. Even though Fulton is a crucial cog in our team, both Dwyer and Flanagan stepped up yesterday. Dwyer played more minutes than usual and was used well on the edges where he carved up last year in the NYC. Flanagan then came on in the last 20mins and was tight. Strong runs and his enthusiasm in defence was needed to not let the game slip away.

Keep him around I reckon. After only playing 10games in the Super League over two years, his performance in the NRL has been something he should be proud of
