Mark Flanagan

Tigerstripes your getting a bit of a bollocking over this one but i have to say i agree with you on some points
It seems like you don't rate him at all though.I think he is an excellent squad player but like others have said he is a clone of Fulton.
My biggest qualm with him is he lacks aggression & a bit slow for 1st grade but in saying that i'm glad he is with us because he does give it his all but in a few weeks when all our forwards are available again i don't think his selection will be justified

He's playing very very well… considering he is only 22, he's a pom, and only had 10 first grade games under his belt before coming to the Tigers.

I try not to judge players too harshly until they have reached about 50-60 fg games. Beau Ryan is a good example.

A 'workhorse', nothing to write home about, but the bloke gives 100% every week. He punches above his weight in defence. Only concern is, he's very similar to Liam Fulton and TBH you only need one of those in your team.

This is ridiculous.
he's a backrower with fantastic ball skills.
Offloading? Obviously you didn't see his magic ball to Tuqiri in round 2, or the way he set up Marshall in round 3?
The only problem I have with Flanagan is that he is similar to Fulton, and it's hard at times to carry both in a side.
It's rare for people to harp on about good defenders, but if he isn't picked, traditionally the "impact players" don't make the amount of tackles.
For now he is earning his selection in the side over abovementioned players.

i don't notice him out there and that is a good thing.
i look at bench players different to most on here i think.
i don't care about impact,i just want the player to play like a first grader.
do your job and don't stuff up while the starter gets a breather.
impact blah,just do your job.
last year galea and morris came off the bench and did a great job.it wasn't about impact, just players giving their all and doing their job.
i think mark is doing the same.

Flanno has made a few big errors at crucial times since being in the squad. It's great to see his team mates always give him encouragement afterwards and lifting him to continue. I see him as a great back up to Fulton. And with Liam being injured, this is the ideal scenario for Flanno to have a fair crack.
The biggest point of note is he has been able to keep up with the NRL players and shown he has the toughness to succeed at this level. And even moreso he is IMPROVING with every single match. I believe if he can secure a longer term deal in the NRL, he will prove to be an extremely worthy asset to any club.

I'm very happy to have him at the WT.

Go Team Flanagan!!

i think he's going well …... With plenty of improvement to come

thats the thing hes now played more first grade games here than in the uk so i believe he will have a lot of improvement left and hopefully can put on a bit more size.im also a believer that he and fulton cant be on the field together as theyre prototypes but i think we have an excellent backup who has already proved his worth.

I think he needs to put his head gear back on.
in the early rounds when he had the cut on his head and was wearing head gear he seemed to be making more metres and a few breaks.
remove the head gear and he seems to just blend in now, without doing anything too spectacular.
