Marshall and Bon Jovi team up for NRL launch

Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi is back with another rendition of the NRL’s anthem ‘This is our house’ and the magical feet of Wests Tigers five-eighth Benji Marshall are part of the action once again.

Marshall was one of the standout performers in the NRL last season and the advertisement features his dazzling tryscoring run against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Round 5\. He beat five South Sydney defenders from a scrum on halfway as he bolted away for a try.

The ad will be unveiled at Rugby League Central on Wednesday night to coincide with the launch of the 2012 NRL premiership season.
 
Bon Jovi again? Surely the NRL can find someone a bit more relevant than these old hacks-if not then dust ol' Tina Turner off and get back on the Simply The Best or What you Get Is What You See bandwagon. Cant be any worse than reheating last years dinner
 
Thought the Bon Jovi advert and song was great. No need to chop and change every year.

I mean how many years did Tina Turner run 4years??

I'm sure next year will be something shiny and new for those with short attention spans.
 
The NRL paid a huge amount to secure the rights for Bon Jovi. The plan was always to use it for a few years, much like "Thats my Team".
 
I agree with fade to black, Justin Bieber's the go… Any one of his songs would be a perfect fit for league

The song grew on me last year and its still infinitely better than Wes Carr - feels like woah
 
Unfortunatley due to the sorry state of the music industry, rock bands are few and far between these days for the NRL to take advantage of. I think the Foo Fighters would be a good fit for the NRL, the only problem i can't realy think of an appropriate Fooey's song the NRL could use
 
Oh wait yes i do 'My Hero'. That could work with images of Benji, Slater and Uate on the charge

speaking of good songs and league have you ever heard what the Dogs run out to (and at half time) at their home games for the last two seasons?
Listen out for it. Gets me so pumped hearing it blast out at the footy.

Funny you mention the "this is our house"song I actually heard it being played at a NFL game earlier this yeah

If you want a rock band get a real rock band ACDC Then it just a matter of not what song to pick but which song don't we pick
