Marshall dropped

Interestingly yes they have. Vs Broncos Last year and against the panthers last year.
Close loss followed by a tight win.

I seem to recall that he was man of the match in both those games. If not, he played very well. Was injured the following week and we didn't see him again until the end of the season.

Yep . I believe in him . It’s clearly there. Maybe cheque’s Reynolds is about as running a five eighth as you can get , then brooks will have no choice but to be the man . This is the first time I think we will see Voldemort’s vision. Have they played together ? I know benji and Reynolds have but has brooks and jrey? At least we know there’s gonna be some mongrel on the field .

Interestingly yes they have. Vs Broncos Last year and against the panthers last year.
Close loss followed by a tight win. Can’t think of other examples.

It's a pretty small sample space as Josh has only played 14 games in total for Wests Tigers...

He has started 6 times with Brooks as his halves partner with 2 wins and 4 losses and twice with Marshall at 6 1 win 1 loss..the other 6 games Reynolds came of the bench

Thanks,
Could you name the other 4 games?

I think a shake up this drastic is a bit much - and believe me I was pissed at the Titans loss just as much as anyone.

Marshall is probably being dropped mostly because of his poor defensive efforts to start the season, which is fine... but 6 changes, if true, is just too much.

worked for the titans......

I am actually surprised at the dropping of Benji for Reynolds - the other changes not so much. The simple reason is that I have less faith in Reynolds winning us a game than I do in Benji. I hope I'm wrong.

One thing I can say is that, earlier today I read a bunch of fans on here saying how Madge would never make the changes needed and bagging him out - well hopefully now we can all get passed that little issue!

One thing about reynolds is you will never be left in doubt about his efforts, same as Lawrence.....that's the point madge made earlier

It's time to be realistic. Benji couldn't consistently get us to the finals when he was 25. There's no way he can at 35.

The Benji change makes sense, any defensive weakness and Jack Wighton will eat us alive, Jennings had to go, Mikaele was a bit hard done by, Packer and Musgrove is surprising. Oh well, Madge spoke about change, bring the Raiders.

I'm glad Madge made some serious changes. They aren't the changes I would have made but I'm pleased that SOMETHING is happening.
I will say however that effort doesn't warrant being picked.

would you rather a player with skill who doesn't try, or a player with less skill busting his guts???

If you don't put in the effort in training then how would they get picked over the "top 17"? Or would it be preferential to see effort put out like we did against newcastle and the titans?

Wasn’t one of those where Reynolds went off injured ?

Irrelevant hypothetical.

Lawrence isn't a first grader.

I thought it was directly related to the discussion but I must be mistaken......

I guess it's the sort of player a fan would prefer to watch......

But if not for effort at least what would warrant getting picked?

Musgrove isn't surprising. Should never have been dropped in the first place.

Very close to my comments yesterday , except mbye to bench Doeihi to centres and Thompson back to fullback.

I’d be dropping Brooks not Marshall

Brooks is here next year
Marshall isn't
We need to look ahead
If Brooks can't get his act together with a new halves partner then yes by all means drop him
Hopefully something will click together soon

Always next year

New comp
New rules
Brooks should be in his element .

Even at 35 Benji can still win games ...
Brooks cannot ...

Always next year
