Marshall set to sign $4m deal to stay with Tigers

The "we have the technology , we have the power" comment took on different proportions many years ago

We convinced our mate to try and get his HK Holden on and off the beach at Rainbow Beach .

As some might know ,some particular days it would be quite popular down for crowds to line up and watch the boys attempt to try and get up and down in the 4wds and then if you got planted the mob would run down and push you out

Everyone was pissing themselves when we lined up in the ol girl ,and barely managed to get it onto the beach so we were long odds to get it back up

By some miracle we managed to get it up through massive cheers of all the tourists and locals

The passenger stuck his head out the window and screamed the infamous words "We have the technology , we have the power " and wherever we drove the rest of the week we got cheers

Arguably one of the best boys weekends of my life ,aaahh the memories

I think we can all agree that we hope the real Benji plays for the remainder of the season and we sit back and laugh at ourselves for doubting him.

That is what we all really want to see

Like all I imagine ,I will quite happily eat all my words if and when I'm wrong about Benji

That said though I'm trying to diet ,so it may have to be over a few meals ,maybe a seven course meal

Based on the fact this is not a contract extension but an upgrade on his current deal, i'm still okay with this. It was agreed at earlier point that this would happen. If there's no clauses regarding his form then there's nothing to change here. Personally though, even if he gets another couple of years added to this upgrade i'm still okay with it. I know his form isn't great but there are factors behind it which he has to work through and improve as a player. It's part of professional football. To stay at the top takes a lot of work and there will be stumbles along the way. Knowing his talent, he will come back from this.

There is a story in RLW saying that the Wests side want to block Benji's contract extension as he has a couple of years left and he is way out of form, they don't want to tie up so much cap on a player who seems to have lost all form.
Good call by Wests I say.

Sounds sensible
No need to go rushing things with him as things stand.
Give it some time and we see how he and other youngsters go.
I dont see any sushi roll clubs beating his door down yet, let alone NRL clubs
