Marshalls form a concern !!

I thought he played well… his kicking game was great! Yes there was that freakish field goal and 2 kicks from the sideline, but his kicking in general play was great i thought.

I think people are being a bit harsh on him after this game...

He'll be fine once Lui is back. His goal kicking has improved out of site over the last 4 or 5 weeks, his field goal tonight was miraculous. He's not setting the world on fire, but i think he's doing ok considering the number of different players he's had to pair with in the halves. Expect him to fire up against the cowboys next week.

It was Bizzaro Benji out there tonight.

Pretty ordinary running the ball but kicks finding grass, sideline conversions and a epic field goal

Sheens is butching this side once again weakening 2 positions to TRY and fix one this has no logic at all ..this is why Benji is not happy and Lawrence is in the same boat and the outside backs are not getting any decent ball .I have come to expect the erratic play of Benji either good or bad it's frustrating but that is the player he is and in many ways is impossible to coach against .I just wish the coach would promote a 1/2 and place the players back in there positions.

I agree , he's still evolving as an nrl player .

For a while he was going for the miracle play too often and when it didnt come off he copped criticism . He's now picking his moments and trying to find the right balance between attack and conservatism .

No doubts he's far from a natural halfback but i thought he was better last night than in previous weeks. It's something at least.

Attacking wise he was ordinary…..

But......his defense, espcecially his one on ones with Bird all over him were sublime, really stuck in.

And.......his kicking game was spot on,found space constantly, which is big for us.

Even though we played awfully in the first half our kicks kept us in the game.

I remember back when Moltzen was half and the backline has some pizzazz. Now it sputters and stutters, all this down to Sheens and his lack of ability in buying a half to replace Prince.

Marshall was solid last night especially given he was at halfback and how stupidly funny is your comment you say how good one of our current players is as half back and then blame our coach for not buying a halfback - you can't have it both ways . Also Lui is out to and Benji will be back to his best next week at 5/8 with Lui in the team and Benji running the ball

Agreed. Marshall's kicking game was great last night. Best I've seen in a while. Why didn't Lawrence do more. His kick in the in goal was touch perfect. Isn't it great how dominant the Tigers are when they pressure with good kicks and kick/chases? We're a much better side when we kick well.

Once again I must watch a different game to most people. I thought Benji was terrible and for those saying its because he is playing halfback well Lawrence and Fulton spent most of the time at first receiver tonight. HIs kicking eventually won the game for us but he was awful in general play. His left to right passing is awful, short kicking game awful and he just doesnt seem to be generally happy on the field.

last night he finally found some space when kicking long. and the goal kicking and field goal - brilliant.

short kicking game / option taking on the 5th is still a concern. would rather lui (when back) or farah take these plays…

Agree. He was pretty well contained by a well drilled team but it happens to all playmakers. I thought his general kicking was one of his better efforts and I don't recall him making too many errors. Won the game with the field goal, kicked two from the sideline and people still complain because he didn't seem happy enough after the game.

Benji's long-kicking game all night was superb. As was Farahs. His passing game for the most part was good too. It was just a couple of poor decisions in regards to which kick to perform which let him down a little. Having a makeshift next to him hurt when the Titans defence was coming up with the right answers.

When are you going to stop making excuses for him? his form since Gus wrapped him on the footy show has got progressively worse NO MATTER WHAT POSITION HE IS PLAYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
He hasn't played well all year, and i believe our teams attack has suffered for it.
If only Benji could find some form, really start testing the defence, we would be the biggest threat in this comp.

So, your saying that his form when downhill about the point Moltzen and Lui got injured? Kinda can draw a couple of correlations there huh?

Honestly, yes, he isn't playing well. But as a loyal supporter I'm not going to berate a talented bloke who over the years has been drilled by the media, has come back from 2 shoulder recons, helped build the club to where it is today, is so passionate about the Tigers to be a one club man, has us sitting 3rd in 2010 AND has won us a grand final!!!

The bloke is in a form slump, but he deserves a hell of a lot more respect and encouragement!! Not negativity.
