Manly centre Steve Matai has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until at least the end of 2017.

Manly centre Steve Matai has ended specualtion about his future, signing a contract extension that will keep him on the northern beaches until the end of 2017.

The 30-year-old had been linked with other clubs including the Titans and Warriors in recent times but told seaeagles.com.au it was "pretty special" to stay on with the club he debuted for back in 2005.

I'm confused? wasn't he asking for a release not that long ago ?

Are they loosing the battle to keep Cherry Evans ? mmh …..

Does anyone seem to think that maybe Manly are admitting defeat in extending Cherry Evans deal ?

I would of thought that Cherry Evans would be there main focus and then see what funds are available ?
A Female colleague saw Cherry Evans at Robina a couple of Days ago , i know he's got Family up this way but i think the Titans are interested in him as well.
Interesting couldn't happen to a nicer Club :mrgreen:
