Touch Judges: David Abood and Grant Atkins
Video Referee: Steve Clark

Two weeks in a row for that reff combination. Weird but i liked how the game flowed on Sunday so no real complaints

They were good against the Warriors Could quite easily take them to all games

i dont think cunno this is the point. i mean this guy unbiased - he has no ego - in other words he is ego-less. he is the dalai lama of referees. they are far and few. look at what greg hartley did to Wests in the 70's. The last ego-less referee before klein was greg cook on the ABC.

Yes I agree, my comment was more about the general standard of refs. As for Hartley and Wests, that was a disgrace, he's lucky Bryce's mate wasn't around in those days to use him as a tackling bag. I remember Cook as a referee, very non assuming but effective.

Good question AHX, there are probably many answers but I think the dragon steelers show how in many instances refs tend to ref the premiers less than their opponents. They have this 'halo' effect whereby the refs think the premiers must be good, don't do much wrong and so they concentrate more on their opponents. Combine this with Bennett being their coach and they can walk on water.
