Match Review and Judiciary Thread

I think Taateo will replace Bunty. He's no world beater but a very consistent performer in cup, among our best most weeks.
Very few options left. Unfortunately I think it means Pole back into the starting side after he has looked a lot better these past few weeks off the bench.

Reserve grade seems Taateo’s level. Depending if Sam Fainu is fit, I assume Sukkar will come into the backrow and Sione will replace Bunty

Wests Tigers duo Latu Fainu and Adam Doueihi are facing bans after a spiteful clash against the Bulldogs at Accor Stadium on Saturday night.

Fainu has been charged with Grade 3 Dangerous Contact for his tackle that flipped Leo Thompson over on his head in the 64th minute of the match.

With an early guilty plea Fainu will be banned for two matches. That increases to three games should he fight the charge and be found guilty at the judiciary.

Doueihi has been charged with a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle for his shot on Harry Hayes and will be suspended for one match should he plead guilty.

Should Doueihi challenge the charge and be found guilty at the judiciary he would be banned for two games.

Wests Tigers lock Alex Twal has been charged with a Grade 1 Contrary Conduct offence for striking Jaeman Salmon in the 70th minute at Accor Stadium and will be fined $1800 should he enter an early guilty plea.

Wests Tigers centre Heamasi Makasini also faces a fine after being charged with Grade 1 Careless High Tackle offence.

The extra heavy maul has been brought out for our blokes, typical from Anusley and his cohorts.Favouritism and corruption oozes from the so called bastion of justice in the NRL.A grade 3 suspension for Latu when he didn't even tackle him but ducked underneath the player.

Why would they act corrupt towards us? What do they get out of it?
It’s so arrogant that our fans think we matter that much that the head organisation intentionally cheats us out of winning games of football.
It’s laughable really.

He has been charged for it a couple of times. He is well known for it.
Some people only learn when given the stick. Same with Api….next time he performs a hipdrop, he’ll go for a month.
Ive see him grab the legs and lift, i think thats poor and would agree with you on that, but here he was a speed hump and nothing more.
Its meaningless in the context of the season, so if he learns a lesson for next year its maybe a silver lining

So a suspension for tackling too low , don’t seem right

Who knows, but they get to say we are tough on foul play by pointing to punishments of players at clubs without the pull or lobbying power of the heavyweights while also giving favours out when Reese Walsh or Cleary or the like escape sanction.. lot of $ in the game so it does not take too much imagination to imagine a scenario that could support the theory.. regardless of the merits Latu being Charged is ridiculous, as even the footy show commentators said this morning ,,, it was a low legs tackle that only the momentum of Thompson caused the dangerous position and accidents do happen in a contact sport .. definitely does not warrant a gotdamn 2 week suspension

So is it in the rules this tackling too low ? Where do we find it in the rule book?

This wasn’t an accident and he has precedence.
it is a lazy way of tackling, effectively using his shoulder to trip the player. Problem is, he isn’t applying any duty of care to ensure the attacker doesn’t end up in a dangerous position. If he wrapped his arms and actually tackled, the player would be very unlikely to cartwheel through the air and land on top of his head. This shoulder barge/ trip thing he does cannot be controlled and a bad result will always cop a penalty.
I don’t want him to have 2 weeks off but better this year than next. Hope he gets it out of his game.

@TigerBurnsy

It was spectacular the way he landed but I can’t see how Latu did anything illegal
Tackling too low, grade 3 🤡
Exactly , if Thompson had ran over the top of him and they scored it would have been celebrated,, Latu went too low and the defender went over him, it was a missed tackle so how is he responsible for the man running over the top of him… bloody ridiculous charge and ridiculous sin bin made from a reactive refereeing group with almost no understanding from a player perspective

Why introduce Javon in a game where we are likely to get smashed by an inform Canberra down there? How can that possibly be good for a young man's debut?
For starters, Raiders have had a very soft draw over the past 6 weeks which includes Parramatta, St George, Melbourne, Canterbury and a Bye. The one good team they beat is Souths who are missing their best player.

We have 6 games left to start planning for next season and playing a career backup who hasn't had a good game since Rd8 over the form half of KOE and our supposed future 6/7 is piss poor planning and coaching malpractice.

Btw if we go by your logic of not debuting players out of fear we'll get smashed, then we won't see him until next year because looking at the remaining games, there's a good chance we'll get smashed by everyone besides MAYBE St George even though they put 13+ on us.
