Lock definitely! I don't know why Ivan insists on playing him at prop when either Grant or Felise could easily step in. Not a fan of him playing Aloiai at prop either. They play better in their rightful positions, imo. Shades of Sheens trying to manufacture a team with everyone swapping positions! :laughing:

As for Mansour, I really hope we haven't made him a big offer. He will spend more time on the sidelines than on the field and it just won't be worth it.

the way i see it our forwards can be split in to two groups:
old heads: matulino, packer, lawrence, taylor, rochow (barely) and mcqueen
young heads: eiso, sue, twal, mck, aloiai
the young heads are doing great but i'd increase the pressure on them to give us more quality minutes

Don't get me wrong, I like Eiso for his work ethic, low defense and ability to pass the ball but he is a plodder when running it forward. By the way, does the coach design the exact sequence of a set of six in the opposition quarter, including who is involved or is it the players making the decisions? I've a hunch, it's a mixture of both, depending on players' energy levels.

When we get Packer back maybe "The Huth" should spend time in ISP working on his cart ups. You need an 80 minute player (Plodder as some call them) that gets through a mountain of work but why settle for this when he can work hard and improve his game 50%.
As for "Gonna be good" Sue - but never is, another one to let go I'm afraid.

I thought that he was really great last year, or was he playing hard for a new contract?
He may have been he was the same as he is this year, but shone out last season in a very average pack.

He's a big unit and if didn't hit up as slowly, he'd be able to force ineffective tackles and open himself up for offloads. At the moment he's the most likely in our team to be put on his back and slow PTB, shades of Woodsie.
Defensively I don't have any concerns.

I recall in our last game, we were defending our line and he was out of it, don't know what he was thinking about.
Luckily Brooks came up with a monster tackle.
I think he will be the one making room for Twal and Packer upon their return.
In saying that, I don't think he is the worst option and wouldn't be fussed if he remained.
