I'm really happy with the kids progress. Do you think Sheens will persist with him in the Semis or revert to Murdoch-Masila,Flanagan or less likely recall Fifita?

He is going to be a good footballer possibly better than good! He has progressed well lets hope Shifty persists with him and gives him a taste of finals footy and then lets see him lift some more!

He threw Murdoch in the deep end last year so i presume he'll do the same here.Anyone know how Junior Roqica is coming along,he's been in our system for a while.

Groat has earned the right to play semi final with his performances
He seemed to be comfortable for the first time on Sunday
He believes he should be there now
He will definitely kick on from here

I think Sheens will stick with Groat and continue his development unless circumstances like injury etc dictate otherwise. It's a nice position to be in as he is coming along nicely. BMM is returning from injury and has a way to go to be back at the form needed to challenge Groat. Fifita is a long shot if a few others fall over first.

I think he'll stick with him, the 20's have a couple of decent props who have stepped up in Groat's absence and he's looking alright out in the middle of the paddock at the moment. Looking forward to seeing him next year after a full off-season with the top squad. Should prove a good interchange for Woods who I suspect will earn a starting spot for next season.

Yet to impress. Jury is still out, but keen to get on board. Go the Groat!

I certainly hope we are not forced into this position! Surely, the recall of Fifita would be the last card in the pack, so the team would have to have a heap of injuries to force this on them.

i agree - he is going groat. i mean great!

no reason to change his role at all and the young guys tend to get very amped up for finals. couldn't tell for certain, but on the field he doesn't look like much phases him so i think he will excel come september.

bring it on!

ps: anyone else think he looks like the tigers tried to clone lawrence but he got slightly mutated? kind of like chris has half turned into the hulk….

When Fulton made his first few appearances in the NRL he was a skinny, lanky player who tucked the ball under his arm. Nothing special. Look at him now.

What is good about Groat is his willingness to get involved in the game both in attack and defence. He's still gun shy, so to speak, with off-loads and passing but that is expected from a kid playing with men.

Stick by him because he has the attributes of a quality front-rower.

The good thing is he now has six games under his belt, not a lot I know but he should be starting to feel really comfortable in the top grade and I reckon a real eye catching performance is on the way from him.

With Woods now passing 20 games as well and with the addition of Blair and Woods next year I think we are really starting to look good up front.

He's a solid chunk of a kid! I love the way he just monsters some guys onto the ground just with upper body strength.

Given the way he has played so far i can't see him losing his bench spot throughout the finals series unless it's a tactical switch by sheens for a bit more speed / mobility. He seems to be progressing well and the extra excitement should be good for him. I think regardless of how he handles the added intensity he will benefit from it.

I agree with the masses here in that i think he will be very solid with a full off season with the first grade squad.

Stick by Groat. I think he is being brought along well and looking more comfortable with his role all the time.

If it were the start of the year it might be too much for him but the semis are just around the corner which will hold its own incentive, and the light is starting to appear at the end of the tunnel so he knows it is not a long haul any more. I think he can hold his own for the rest of the season. Actually I would not be surprised if he actually improves THIS year!

I love the kid hes already my fav player tbh big future ahead of him….. he looks like the green things of angry birds.. lol

Judging by the fact that he is not named on extended benches i am pretty sure sheens is confident in his selection of the young prop.
Also fifita is out of favour and it is highly likely he will see the jersey again
BMM hasnt appeared very much this year and i doubt sheens would throw him in at this point especially withthe way the team is going.
i think the team we have will stay bar the inclusion of lawrence for utai and utai and brown fighting for the bench
