I Heard it was a minor issue which related to a treatment of injury. Blown out of proportion to get a big deal done at the Eels. The Eels were talking to his agent weeks before the request to release, it was orchestrated. Who really cares though good luck to him.

Yeah wasn't there a rumour around at the time that he didn't want to play because of a minor injury, but had to play anyway as we were low on troops?

Why do you say this?

Because players using religion is the ultimate 'get out of jail free card' , nobody is allowed to question it. It's the same reason players pull the 'mental health card'. Easy way out.
