agreed, the regular season is one thing, but in the finals you have to go up another gear. If you are the best you will beat anyone put in front of you. Look at Melbourne last year. Finished minor premiers, beaten by the Warriors at home, had 2 tough road trips, but managed to win both games, and still got to the big one.

does anyone really think that the NRL would change the finals series system to that similar of another code.
e.g AFL etc.

Agreed - but its not a home semi - just as Brisbane will say they don't have a home semi, they have a semi in the regional capital which by luck is their home ground.
