Plans for a secret training run for the NSW State of Origin side have backfired spectacularly with Brisbane media inadvertently crashing the session on Tuesday morning.

The Blues, who have trained away from the media and general public throughout their build-up to Wednesday night's series decider at Suncorp Stadium, organised a match eve run at Ballymore - home of Super Rugby franchise Queensland Reds.

But NSW officials were unaware that the Reds - who are gearing up for Saturday night's Super Rugby final against the Crusaders - had organised a press conference with James Horwill for the same time.

Media representatives thinking they were coming to talk to Horwill walked in on the Blues, sending the team's backroom staff into a frenzy as they frantically attempted to keep prying eyes away from the squad.

NSW coach Ricky Stuart has yet to reveal the make-up of his final 17 to take on the Maroons, with question marks still remaining over a number of positions.

Media have been denied access to the adjoining Queensland Rugby Club which overlooks the Ballymore playing surface, with claims staff inside the club have been asked by NSW officials not to watch the training session.

All 19 members of the NSW squad are believed to be training, with NSW also scheduled to have a run at Suncorp Stadium later this afternoon.

Have the blues had their 'touchy, feely, bawl your eyes out telling your mate how much you love them session yet?' or is that tonight….loll bunch of pussies!

Anything for a headline Stuart at his best… When your at someone else's house, you can sometimes expect a few visitors?!

I wonder if he is resigning on Thursday morning???

I don't think so Ink . The game was referreed differently from game 1 and game 2 and NSW took a great game plan into game 2 which Mal and the boys didn't see coming . It won't work for game 3 though .If Qld work Gallen and in particular Mannah over early NSW will struggle . One other big change Hodges back . real good player Hodges strong and hard to stop . Jennings better be at 100% lets put it that way .

Lol….maybe a bit.

I have full confidence in the outstanding class of Cam, JT, Locky, Billy, Ingliss and Boyd. They have slightly underperformed in both games thus far. Only reason NSW are still in the hunt.

I'm expecting them to kill it tonight.

We wont see NSW dominate the ruck again like game 2\. Scott and Petro will also have big one.

...and lets not forget Hodges is back so that weakness that has been present on QLD's right side will be significantly strengthened.

Saw most of the boys on Monday… Scott & Petro looked very relaxed and the boys know what they gota do to get the job done.

I'm expecting a big game from Thurston!!!

Yeah mate…especially after Stewart made that absurd claim that Pearce is the worlds best halfback llllloooooollooolll....

What a crock! he wouldnt be in the top 5!

I think we have a different blues team this year, we KNOW we CAN win - we have belief.
It will be by no means easy, nothing worthwhile ever is…but tonite is the first time
in a long time we have a real chance to end QLd's dominance

Ive lost confidence today. I just have a feeling that Smith, Thurston, Slater and even the overrated Lockyer have been waiting for this type of game.

overrated Lockyer :crazy He has achieved more than Back-door Benny & Andrew Johns combined!

After tonight, we have a whole new challenge. DL will be irraplaceable and I wouldnt be suprised to see us lose the next 2-3 series without him…

Not saying he isnt great, but he's dead set overrated the way people carry on about him. Some saying he's the best player ever hahahaha, please, not even close. He's been nothing for a few years now. He was a great fullback, the best ive seen just ahead of Jack, but he's only had one top year at 6, that was 2006

qld will still be strong without locky. nothing wrong with thurston and cronk in the halves

Looking on TV tonite, - pre match - Blues remind me of WTs 2005, smiling upbeat positive happy
Maroons look edgy, thoughtful, nervy, worried
