The pressure told on Wests Tigers when Manly hooker Matt Ballin scooted over from dummy half from five metres out to score next to the posts. Lyon converted the try for a 12-0 lead after 34 minutes.
Wests Tigers centre Blake Ayshford kicked the ball dead in the 35th minute after Lyon made a break and then put a grubber kick through for his team-mates only to be beaten to the ball by Ayshford.
