MEET LOTE AND BENJI AT GEARZONE THIS SATURDAY
Monday, 22 March 2010

Five Wests Tigers players headed by Benji Marshall and Lote Tuqiri will make a special appearance at the Wests Tigers Gearzone Shop at Campbelltown on Saturday, March 27.

Marshall, Tuqiri, Tim Moltzen, Blake Ayshford, and Taniela Tuiaki will appear at the Gearzone shop from 2pm to 3.30pm to meet supporters and to sign autographs.

It will be the first opportunity for supporters to meet Tuqiri and welcome him to the club.

Gearzone stocks a wide range of Wests Tigers merchandise and memorabilia and supporters will be able to grab some bargains on the day.

Gearzone is located at Shop 234 at the Brands On Sale outlet at 32 Queen Street, Campbelltown.

Footnote: With Wests Tigers playing Parramatta at the SFS the night before the Gearzone promotion, players appearing are subject to injury or recovery.

I probably would have gone but I think the Magpies are playing at Henson Park then. I do have those 2 x $20 merchandise vouchers though that I got with my Membership and I think it's good that the players go there. I hope they get some Wests Magpies merchandise at the Campbelltown store too, I heard there wasn't any. I can't believe I haven't been in there yet since I only live in Leumeah..

I've been there once, it's not a massive store.. but does have a wide range of stuff that you wouldn't usually see in a store like napkins and table cloths lol

I can't remember how muhc magpie and balmain tigers stuff they had but most likely just the jerseys and other clothing everything else seemed to be Wests Tigers gear.

There is usually Wests Magpies merchadise at the Magpies home games anyway. I'm thinking about getting a Magpies polo shirt. I already have a Magpies jacket, scarf, caps and a Magpies jersey (match worn by David 'Cement' Gillespie in the early 90's)

PLAYERS SWAMPED AT GEARZONE PROMOTION

The popularity of the Wests Tigers in the Macarthur region was again highlighted on Saturday, March 27, when five players were inundated for autographs and photos.

Benji Marshall, Lote Tuqiri, Tim Moltzen, Blake Ayshford and Taniela Tuiaki made a special appearance at the Wests Tigers Gearzone Shop at the Brands on Sale outlet in Campbelltown.

The huge turnout saw security estimate the numbers to be more than 2500 people as fans lined up during the 90 minute appearance. Staff inside the Gearzone shop were kept extremly busy as supporters rushed in to buy a range of merchandise. All proceeds from the Gearzone shop go directly back to Wests Tigers.

"I couldn't believe it when I saw how far the queue stretched back. There were people everywhere,'' Marshall said.

"It was great to see that much support for the team here in Campbelltown."

The players began signing autographs at tables outside the Gearzone shop before a decision was made to have the players walk the length of the queue as far as possible in the time allocated to ensure most supporters had the chance to get autographs.

"The support was unbelievable. All the fans made me feel very welcome and it was good fun. My hand is still sore from the amount of signing. I'm glad Tuqiri is such a short surname,'' Lote joked.

"A big thank you to the fans for turning out in such large numbers."

Great day, the players were great and the shop is impressive although it was crowded. Definately visit more times when games are in Campbelltown.

Can someone tell me how we are in round three and you can't even buy our 2010 regular jerseys yet?

That is a huge stuff up on someones behalf.
