Melbourne Storm

Second worst defence in the NRL at the moment - who would've thought?

I wonder if this is like the old post Ashes tours syndrome

Smith and Cronk are going great guns , but Slater is on the downward spiral

If Qld find another centre they are happy with ,Slater could be gone

I still think they will make the 8 though

He racked up 200m, 1 try assist, 4 tackle breaks, 2 line breaks and 1 line break assist against Canbberra. I would be happy with him!

It's great to see it too.
Years or boring dominance ( they dominate in a boring way, think chess )

Slater is looking rusty.
Lost a bit of pace by the looks of it, but it's been mentioned he's been suffering from a virus for a few weeks now.
Maybe he needs to move to #6 like Lockyer did.

Inglis > Slater for QLD but doubtful it'll happen.

Melb storm…. yuck.

Good to see teams like tigers and eels going well, although i hate the eels.

They will find their groove. They are fading in and out of games at the moment and Slater's lack of spark at the back means sides dont fear them like they have in the past.

I am fairly confident that Bellyache will get them back into it. That being said, Bellyache is lookingn rather bereft of ideas in the post match conferences.

Slater played really well v the Warriors , Melbourne bombed that game

Had so many chances in the 2nd half

The storm's game has always been focused around slowing down the play the ball. Boring team with boring wins. A faster game leaves the storm behind.

they haven't racked up enough wins before origin, usually they are well into the top 4, loose a few in SOO and then bounce back after.

They will be lucky to scrap into the 8 this year, but if Smith or cronk are injured in SOO then even that could be unlikely.

and it's very pleasing to watch.
they have been on the crest of a wave of success for some time, now they are going down the other side of it.

Definately not me. I guess they're struggling to contain the bigger packs in what is now a quicker game.
