IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT
21/12/2010 11:15:33 AM
Dear Members,

We would like to take this opportunity before Christmas to thank you for your valued support of Wests Tigers heading into the 2011 season.

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control in the production of our Membership kits, the delivery of the kits have been pushed back from the expected pre-Christmas arrival. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Wests Tigers are using every endeavor to ensure the timely delivery of these kits and are planning to utilise a courier service to expedite this process.

Due to the Christmas and New Year period, we expect that these kits will now be delivered by January 14.

Please contact the Membership Department before 12pm on Wednesday at <membership@weststigers.com.au>or on (02) 8741 3300 for an official gift card which will be posted directly from the Club and will arrive prior to Christmas.

As a reminder to all Members, the Wests Tigers office will close on December 22 at 12pm for the Christmas break and will reopen on January 10 at 9am. Additional Memberships may still be purchased online during this time.

Seasons Greetings
Wests Tigers</membership@weststigers.com.au>

Not too fussed. Great that the club offered the redress in terms of direct gift cards etc.

The fact that it got sms'ed to me instead of leaving me wondering is a great leap forward

is the gift card instead of the kit or as gift on top of the kits?

My take is its on top of the kits….a gift as an apology for the kits being late.
As smeg said, at least now theyre keeping us informed...
I guess some younger members may be a bit disappointed come chrissy day

I'd say the gift card is so you can hand it to someone that you bought membership as a Xmas present.

I doubt the club would give out any extra freebies for no reason at all.

Thats exactly what it is Staks

I can understand the confusion the email could be interpreted a number of ways ie in leiu of a late membership bought as a gift or as a consilation for the members packs not being sent out on time.

I became a member for the 1st time for next year, ive recieved 2 texts today but cannot access the "members only" message because i have not recieved my card yet so i dont have the pin. Can anyone give me an idea what the 2nd message was re: the gift card. Thanks

Just that its really nothing, something to stick under the tree to say "I really did get your gift but someone stuffed up. Merry Xmas"

Wests Tigers wish to clarify an earlier communication regarding the delayed arrival of the 2011 Membership Kits.
>
Within the previous communication, reference was made to a ‘Gift Card’ that could be sent in lieu of the membership kit. This measure was put in place to allow members who had purchased a membership for use as a Christmas present to another individual, i.e. Children’s Christmas Present.
>
For the avoidance of doubt, the Gift Card does not hold any redeemable dollar value and is purely a proof of purchase of membership (over and above the standard membership receipt). The card/letter is designed so that it can be used in a Christmas card or similar purpose and to confirm the individual has in fact received a Wests Tigers Membership for the 2011 season.
>
Should you wish to receive this card/letter, please contact the membership Department before 12pm on Wednesday at <membership@weststigers.com.au>or on (02) 8741 3300.

The need to hire someone that comprehends the english lingo….where I come from a gift card is usually exchanged for an item of some sort.
