There are other things in life. It’s okay to get emotional and want this club to get better. But don’t let it consume you.

Very good advice. Easy to get overly attached (I know I do). Need to take a step back sometimes.

I remember during the big 4 crap, I lived, breathed and ate that 24 hours a a day. First thing I’d do when I woke up I’d check the forum for any articles, inside info etc. Eventually it burned me out, and by the time Tedesco signed with the Roosters, I’d mentally checked out. And I haven’t been the same since.

I’m still as passionate as ever but I found earlier this year I was so uptight and nervous before games I could hardly watch them. I was so worried the the inevitable capitulation would come that I could not relax, to the point of feeling ill. I’m trying to negate that but it’s hard..

We will continue to not be competitive for at least another year, and then in 2023 we might start looking good. With this knowledge, I will no longer have any optimistic thoughts for the immediate future, and will simply follow the club in a reduced capacity.

I am sharing this for anyone else is finding it hard to cope at the moment.

My allegiances wont waiver but until the front office is sorted and we figure out some way for the coaching staff and the players to gel (not to mention having a competitive roster), there just isnt a lot of things to be hopeful about.

Wishing you all the best!

Thanks mate, the best support we have is each other.

Our team isn't showing a lot at the moment, so yes, hang in there however you can, and don't let the lows get to you too much. We'll get to the highs again, eventually, probably, one day, but in the meantime how good was 2005.

Agreed

and i prob shot off too early, i think Hastings will definitely change a lot of things for us. There may be potential for next year, but i wont hold my breath just yet!

Due to having someone to read your post @mary_st
you're starting to sound more positive already... re the Hastings comment.
Hope You're feeling better as well :+1:  :slightly_smiling_face:

I clocked off semi mentally last year when we opposed Rabbits half way through the year and the season went south.

Then it all came back when I watched the trial match against Manly at the start of the year, I loved the Brooks kick to JTJ zooming in so quick, but we haven't seen any of that this year except for round 1 when he had his one of his longest runs all year..

Luch seemed dangerous at times throughout the year, but I am now agreeing with other people that he should be used in stints or 60 or so.

Brooks - I cant fault the fella, he is playing well with this pack at times.

Laurie is amazing, but it would have also been great to have Momo in the centres then the pretenders we have.

Furthermore, Moses Mbye - No guts, no courage, not a man.. This man does not care about our club, he doesnt care for the past, present or future... he cares about his paycheck... When he is gone - the club will improve. CAT!

I've never seen a player more intent on not getting hurt.
That's his only focus in a game, protecting his body.
That's why he won't run and loves side on legs tackles.

"Dont let it consume you" :100: correct gnr.
Atm one of the very few positives I have in my life is Wests Tigers and WTF.

I still look forward to every one of Our games on C9 or ABC radio, but I am now realistic enough to realise We 'probably' just aint gonna win.

I now look at each game basically as a neutral supporter, and that allows me to see the bad and **good** things we do in each game.
So I dont get as upset with the bad as I used to and enjoy the **good stuff** when it happens, and it is there every game if I, You, We look for it.

Great thread...

Too many times the team and poor performance has effected me and I assume others negatively. At times even for days after.

I'm thankful we have a good community on here on the forum where we can share our thoughts as well as our passion for the club- even when they're bad beyond words.

The lads on discord keep me laughing as well but we dont go into detail about that because this is for the forum.

We must keep our expectations low yet remain hopeful.
Hopeful for a better tomorrow, a better future....

I know some on here have taken a disliking to me and have their reasons, that's OK.... but we are all on the same team and I'm always here for a chat.

Any of you legends need a ear or a phone call or whatever, all you gotta do is ask.

I'm sure if .. some how , some way.... you think I'm a d-bag, then some one else would be willing to offer the same kindness.

Good crew on here and despite disagreements with some time to time, I'm sure we all have each other's backs at the end of the day.

Hopefully some brighter days, maybe even... hopefully even... next season.
If not... maybe the one after.

This is life for us Wests Tigers fans.
Chyeaaah adlayzzz

Great post @Demps.
Dont be so down on yourself eh!!!'
You add a lot of heart warming and straight from the heart entertaining stuff to this place, and I'm certain no one on here would think you are a d-bag.

I already told you to not watch games against Penrith, Storm, Rabbits, Roosters. We will compete against any other club. Maybe not win but at least play hard.

I've stopped caring. Used to be able to sit through 80 minutes irrespective of the result. Now I just turn it off, and I genuinely don't feel like I'm missing out.

I will always support the club, I just find that I'm not as emotionally invested as I used to be. I won't be signing up as a member again any time in the near future either.

"there just isn't a lot of things to be hopeful about"

Hopeful = The Club We will always love = Wests Tigers
have hit the bottom of the barrel and **the only way now is UP from here.**.

Positive = We have a Team to follow in the top grade unlike North Sydney and Newtown supporters.

**but the most important thing rite now @mary_st **
is **R U OK???**

That's alright mate, we are here to help each other out. Especially these days with everything that is going on, a chat or a message can make a huge difference.

Going to be a grandad in a few months so yep I'm really looking forward to that!?

Doesn't that just sum us up.. You've got to laugh, no point in being mad at that level of stupidity. We have many players who just aren't quality.

Go into the game with no expectations ...laugh at the screw ups .....Nofa's attempt to put his foot out and catch the ball I almost fell off the chair along with my young fella in laughter

Then if it turns out differently and we win or look remotely good ...your satisfied .....

X2

During the storm game i had a great time...i lost it when nelson went over from dummy half and also when talau provided a try assist

Haha yeah it's easy to laugh when it's an absolute bollocking like that.
It's the games where you have a tiny bit of hope that are the hardest. Even yesterday in the second half I almost allowed myself to dream of a comeback, only to be gutted again when Bunnies strolled in for some soft tries.
