NSW State of Origin star Michael Jennings has been arrested and charged with offensive behaviour after an overnight drinking session in Parramatta.

The man-of-the-match from Wednesday night’s game in Melbourne was arrested at approximately 2.30am in the company of one of his brothers.

His club the Sydney Roosters were notified on Saturday morning and have reported the incident to the NRL integrity unit.

“We are still waiting for more details,” said Roosters chief executive Brian Canavan.

“He’s been squeaky clean with us at the Roosters and that’s why this is so surprising.

Had a go at the police apparently, trying to stick up for his brother. Pretty lame stuff all round, imo, but if Daley is consistent he will have to drop him for Origin game 3.
