weedla on the footyshow said monas wants out and he wants to play for canberra next season. he then said raiders dont have the money but he might play for another NRL team. We should get him to play halfback. He can play hooker if Robbie is in the Origin team or injured

ps the wolfman is the wolfman no more… (shaved)

I just heard on the footy show this guy wants to come back to the NRL.
I remember for manly when orford was out he won them something like 5 games in a row.
I think he is a great number 7 and we should pick him up coz he will not cost us much.

I think wed be crazy too not have a play at him even with mOltzen firing. itd give us a kicking game. Moltzen can go back to fullback and still play in the line in attack like h has been in recent weeks.

problem is he wouldnt of played halfback at an NRL in 4 years when he comes back

They said he wants a release to return next year. That will only be two years, and the last season he played he was basically the player of the year for the runners up, playing out of position.

I wouldn't be chasing him. I think the Tigers are looking good in the halves right now and will certainly have more options next season. Monaghan will be chasing decent money and if the Tigers end up with cash to spare then they should be chasing a prop with it IMO.

I agree.

Monaghan is a quality player but who knows if he has lost a little of his skills, speed or whatever. We have a couple of good halves now and Lui coming up through the grades.

We need another prop or two.

We suposedly had a shot before he went to the ESL…More than happy with Moltzen to be given a decent crack to step up to make the 7 his own...really enjoying his development...

All the spare cash should be going to find a big Prop or 2...your spot on the money there...

I haven't seen much of him in the ESL, but it looks like he's been playing hooker lately. If he's not considered good enough to be halfback in the ESL, he won't be good enough here.

are we really ? which inform teams have we beaten since moltzen moved to half ??

moltzen kicking game is also avg,i like him i just dont know ifhes ready for the 7

Would have been a fair buy a few years ago but not now, we have to keep going in the direction we are going now with Moltzen and also develop a back up option for insurance

I don't know could be a waste of money for us… as we are trying to keep the quality kids from the NYC & the like...

Was a huge fan of MM,& still am…he brings leadership, creativity,a kicking game & commitment,& wld be a perfect foil for Benji's flair.Or at least he did when last in NRL
But MM comes with a hefty price tag($250-$300)...& Moltzen looks too promising to discard.
Id certainly be chatting with MM over the next month or so ,during which time we will see whether Moltzen is the real deal

Marshall, Moltzen, Taumata, Lui, Dunley…..I think Wests have finally got some decent depth in the halves. Specialists too, which is refreshing. Always makes a difference when you've got a natural 6 & 7.

All the spare dosh has to be directed at the engine room, you could have Joey at 7 but if their is little grunt up front you are going to struggle. Look at the dragons, Soward looks like a champion behind a side that has plenty of go forward. The young pom their all talking about would be where I would be directing my efforts. I have said a million times our team is 1 quality prop and a journey man prop as insurance from being a top four team for a long time

How do you see Moltzen's kicking game is ave.?,,,He has put in about 14 kicks in first grade because he is the 3rd string kicker behind Marshall and Farah who kick the ball between them 16 to 20 times a game…I remember 1 kick that Molten put in that was charged down that the other team scored off but apart from that I cant to many other really bad one's...A kick is only as good as it's chase you watch Moltz against the Manly Scum this week...he'll be chasing hard no matter who puts the kick in...If anything Id love to see Moltzen kick more and Benji kick less...

At least we have been beating teams with him there...7 losses from 8 was looking grim not to long ago.....

Thats right, but theyve also beat a depleted Penrith, someone else i forget and then the roosters. And on that night they were embarrasing. We were scoring off hitups for crying out loud. They were embarrasing.
