Mick Potter anyone?

The best we’ve looked since 2011 was 2014 under Potter. The second half of the season we had the worst injury run the clubs had, and all the Farah crap, otherwise we make the finals with ease.

What about toovey could he get the team goin?

Toovey is in the same boat as Madge. Not an innovator by any stretch of the imagination. The modern game is beyond Tooves.

And if he were that good, another club would have appointed him. People need to let go of Toovey.

I really liked Potter.
We had a pretty rubbish squad under him but he still had them fired up and playing well most weeks.

Farah
Fulton
Galloway
Koroibete
Lawrence
Marshall
Benji
Tedesco
Tuqiri
Woods

Also
Blair
Brooks
Moltzen
BMM
Reddy
Ava
Curtis Siro
Simona
Jesse Sue
Bodene Thompson

Hindsight is 20/20 but I think that roster far eclipses anything we've fielded the past few seasons.

I was fairly young when Potter coached us. I thought he was terrible? Genuinely interested as to why people disagree - can someone explain why he wasn't that bad?

He was emotionless.
Farah said he sucked.

I remember thinking to myself back then...
Potter is making some decisions that I would make as well in regards to team selections.

I honestly don't think he was that bad.
That being said, nothing special either.

Feel like our roster wasn't that bad in 2013/2014 and we were consistently very disappointing - I think our roster is worse now than it was then

He was bad, not a people person at all. Very introverted.

Yes and the team was finals bound ,. Then the Dummy spitter had other ideas , the team was playing well up to then. And Brooks was playing his best footy ..

Potter is the first to admit his limitations, I’ve heard him speak about them on a number of occasions. That’s why there were ‘Dummy spitters’ as you call them. This is we’re the culture of the club truely went south and the players ruled. We are still trying to fix Potter’s legacy.

Potter’s or Farah’s? Because the dummy spits, ‘boyz club’, and coach ousting didn’t stop there.

Potter was too much of a nice guy. Then we went the complete 180 and hired JT who didn’t care whose toes he stepped on. Those two were quite the contrast when you look back on it.

If you are ditching Madge then you might as well let the tankers pick the coach since you are giving in.

To be clear I have no actual solution and can accept Madge getting the boot.

No it didn’t but Potter’s is when it became ingrained into the culture and he didn’t have the personality and skills to stop it.

My son worked on the WTs launch when Potter was coach and said that when they had the coaching staff up for a Q&A David Liddell did all the talking. Speaking to Potter one on one he said seemed like a nice guy but didn't say much.

Good story.
Very interesting.

Maybe Potter is a shy guy.
Seemed that way eh... nothing wrong with that eh.
Introvert. I didn't mind him but yeah they were some bad years at the Tigers.
