Also he wanted to come home for personal reasons is my understanding so we won't be paying massive. We also have a 20 yr old fullback and a 20 yr old on the other wing next year -you need so me experience and he has experience and has been and still is the best back in super league, a try scorer, a leader, an amazing goal kicker.

Awesome signing and for those saying we need a prop -well you have to fill a whole side and I'm sure this wont be the last signing

Spot on!!!!

We have plenty of very good forwards. We just need to get them fit and stay fit.

I would bet a few bob that some of the people on this forum who are bagging Richards have never seen him play, either here or in England.

He can bring experience to the back 3, provides a excellent defensive coverage on a wing (kick to Richards teddy or koto anyone?) and also can take the kicking duties off benji (maybe kick offs from molten….). And he's a wests tigers legend. Great signing IMO

Liam Fulton should not have been resigned , all he is a tackling machine we need forwards who can tackle and break the defensive line , Robbie very important to re sign a player of his calibre as for Pat Richards I have mixed feelings about this as I have read on these forums about some of our younger players coming through , I know one thing that means Utai and Lote are gone which is good , but it makes it interesting what will happen with Moltzen,Teddy,Ayshford and Lawrence some big decisions need to be made.

Simple, if Moltzen,**Teddy**,Ayshford and Lawrence don't fire over the remainder of the season they are on their way out. If this doesn't stir them up nothing else will take thhem out of 2013 slumber.

Lol i can't find the words to describe how ridiculous it is that you'd include Tedesco in that list

It's probably a typo and meant reddy

Well spotted

IMHO, we have enough young big forwards:

**Woods** Date of Birth: 13 March, 1991
Height: 194 cm
Weight: 109 kg

**Buchanan** Date of Birth: 10 April, 1992
Height: 193 cm
Weight: 107 kg

**Seumanufagai** Date of Birth: 3 June, 1991
Height: 189 cm
Weight: 110 kg

**Groat** Date of Birth: 4 March, 1992
Height: 190 cm
Weight: 113 kg

**Gavet** Date of Birth: 19 October 1989
Height 186 cm
Weight 108 kg

**Paasi** Date of Birth: 23 Nov 1992
Height: 180 cm.
Weight: 104 kg

**Brown** Date of Birth: 1 March, 1993
Height: 185 cm
Weight: 107 kg

What we need (IMHO) is a solid prop with good work ethics and some NRL experience, like:

**Plum** Date of Birth: 31 March 1983
Height 187 cm
Weight 100 kg

**Eastwood** Date of Birth: 10 March 1987
Height 183 cm
Weight 112 kg

**Kennedy** Date of Birth: February 20, 1989
Height 191 cm
Weight 118 kg

Look how tough it was to get rid of Sheens..we got rid of Simmons ,,but he got back in ( Sheens ) ..so McDonnell is dug in pretty tight and will be hard to budge.

Time for Potter to get his own people.. McDonnell has been here too long, time for fresh ideas on who we should recruit.

This is interesting. Every one I speak in league tells me McDonnell has one of the best eyes for young talent in the game. I don't have an opinion on him although it seems over the past 5 years or so our young kids are always up there.

Not sure a recruitment manager has much involvement in getting experienced players to the club. I assume the CEO and coach have more involvement in that type of recruitment.

Best eyes ? Oh Yeah that's why the list of young talent in the last 12 years he has "found" brought to the club and that are now 1st graders is so long there is just not enough space to list them all.

I really don't think its that difficult to sign players once they become Australian schoolboys which seems to be his favored policy.

I think I would swap McDonnell for O'Sullivan in a heartbeat Can't be too hard when you have 3 of the best junior halves ALREADY playing at either Balmain and Wests and the gun fullback at the Magpies

Just telling you what I hear. He is highly regarded throughout the game. I have heard the sane thing from about 6 people involved in junior development in NRL.

You can believe what you want.

Dear Tigers recruitment,

Watch Michael Jennings in the Anzac Day match. That is the type of back we need.

Sincerely,

A lounge room coach

I wouldn't want to play for some of the coaches they have had over the last few seasons either

Don't be silly. Jennings not over 30 yet.
Potter, your testing my patience

_Posted using RoarFEED 2013_

We judged Jennings on his years spent at Panthers, and how much his price tag was.

Don't kid yourself that he would be playing as well for us in an under performing side as he is right now in a well performing side.

I'm saying we need a finisher who has speed to burn. Watch the two tries he scored, I could never imagine Reddy, Utai, Ayshford or Lawrence doing that

I can imagine Ayshford doing that, I can also imagine Koro, Richards, Teddy and Nofo doing that  And that will probably be next years backline.
