Mick Potter has officially lost the plot

And i quote "the halves this week are braith and benji, i thought had an improved performance"
(from the team announcement video)

was all for giving Potter another year to see what he can do but after hearing this rubbish, i am beginning to question him again. honestly i cracked up when i heard that, benji moved from a 2/10 to a 3/10 last weekend but was still very poor and lacked care, braith anasta on the other hand has been abysmal week in week out and it was him and ayshford that cost us the game against para last week ultimately imo, he was bad beyond belief yet potter thinks he is improving. Just an all round terrible player - cant kick, pass, tackle, run - gives away useless, moronic penalties and ball, words cannot describe how poor anasta has been.

If he continues these deplorable performances and continues to get picked week in week out, i really am starting to question Potter's motives and aims, if he is our half next year, i will not be supporting the tigers in 2014, period. He is a joke and is rubbing it off on a receding club - must be moved on surely.

Not impressed with Potter at all - if not Brooks or Moses, at least Sironen was solid there, just someone else, anyone else besides that pathetic excuse for a footballer. To think he is getting paid for what he is doing out there for us.

Be honest - opinions?

You have lost the plot if you don't think they were both better against the eels then they were the previous 2 weeks. He didn't say they were good he said they were better then the week before and it's true.

Also what do you expect him to say " I've named Benji and braith because our season is already down the toilet and Benji will bring in a bit more cash through tickets while I have no options due to the salary cap for anyone else . I know they are shit but what can you do hey "

IAM WITH YOU they were terrible and for potter to say they were good is a lie beyond all lies, he has lost me and we should show him the door NOW.

They were improved, still bad but improvement nonetheless.

Lets just accept that this year is gone, we probably can't get the exemption for another young guy after Luani without injury, Sirro might as well get some games in for the backrow.

Its obvious we are already looking at 2014 with Lawrence/Woods getting an early mark for rehab. No need to lose the plot over Anasta/Marshall for the next month.

Exactly let our young guns halfs smash it in the 20s and win the comp then they start to play first grade next year.

hey if your gonna say that your not going to support the tigers next year JUST because he picks benji and braith this week then u are not a TRUE WT fan, why dont u just leave this forum and never post again, and im pretty sure that he cant pick brooks or moses because ONCE AGAIN some one has to tell you that we will go over the salary cap, that is probably the only reason he has picked them

Lol, some of you people are idiots.

2013 doesn't matter. Sending in young players against top of the table sides is even dumber considering our season is gone.

Who would you pick in the halves out of the currently fit players who have already played NRL this year, keeping in mind we can't bring in anymore players.

we're stuck with this pair for the rest of the year, whether we like it or not.

send your thanks to the prick suing the club for sacking him after he said he'd step down if we didn't make the finals in 2012

I am with you Pacman,
I could not believe what I was hearing when he said Anasta at half ,is he watching ?
I never thought I would look forward to the end of the football season.

Taking my statements out of context and making rash judgments out of the blue was quite nice of you.. for a forum supporter, laughter is the only emotion springing currently.

"JUST because he picks benji and braith this week then u are not a TRUE WT fan"

i said if he picks braith for 2014 as a half, nothing about this week and nothing about benji - that i would stop supporting the club, with good reason too, just look at braith's performances ALL YEAR!

p.s. Please don't take my posts out of context and add your own spin to it to make me look like a villain on the forum next time - appreciated

As I understand it, Potter doesn't have much choice with selections due to salary cap issues. I agree that are halves aren't playing as well as most would like but at least Potter used the word 'improve' when describing them. Improve can be like a piece of string. The season is gone let Benji and Braith earn their money in some way shape or form by picking them to play against the form teams. Let the young blokes play with their mates in the 20's where they have been most of the season (excluding reserve grade) and have a chance in the semis.

Given the injures at the moment, I wouldn't have changed the halves this week, and given our NYC side has a realistic chance of going back-to-back, I wouldn't be mucking Brooks and Moses around either.

This is about where it is at isn't it. I still think Benji was fine last week but Braith lost us that game. I really hope someone is tapping Braith on the shoulder.
