Mick Potter has officially lost the plot

Siro is hampered by an ankle problem and cant go 80 mins

That doesn't make any sense. The season is done. Why even play a potential gun like Siro in dud games with nothing at stake if he is carrying an injury?

Either he is okay and he starts or he is injured and gets fit for 2014.

Ayshford can thank his lucky stars Lawrence is getting surgery and Reddy is Injured.

Why not Thompson to center?

Another forward on the bench, Ayshford out.

There's no reason to play him this week. Potter needed to have the balls to chop him for not trying even if it would have upset Robbie and Liam.

Potter is standing by his players.

He has said previously that they got themselves here and they have to work their way out of the rut.

He is showing loyalty to players out of respect and to keep a settled playing group. All he would do by dropping them is exposing guys to a squad they are not yet ready for and alienate guys like Fulton who he will lean upon as a leader next season.

It is a terrible feeling but I can see the reason.

That and there is a very real possibility we may require Anasta in the halves at some point next season with injury so why not try and build him up now when there is nothing much to play for but pride?

x2

I think it's safe to assume that Mick Potter sees the performances of Ayshford and Anasta for what they are. Given that, there has to be a reason he is putting them on the field. It may well stick in his craw when he announces the team.

hey if your gonna say that your not going to support the tigers next year JUST because he picks benji and braith this week then u are not a TRUE WT fan, why dont u just leave this forum and never post again, and im pretty sure that he cant pick brooks or moses because ONCE AGAIN some one has to tell you that we will go over the salary cap, that is probably the only reason he has picked them

GROW UP

Taking my statements out of context and making rash judgments out of the blue was quite nice of you.. for a forum supporter, laughter is the only emotion springing currently.

"JUST because he picks benji and braith this week then u are not a TRUE WT fan"

i said if he picks braith for 2014 as a half, nothing about this week and nothing about benji - that i would stop supporting the club, with good reason too, just look at braith's performances ALL YEAR!

p.s. Please don't take my posts out of context and add your own spin to it to make me look like a villain on the forum next time - appreciated

I had to go back and read your post again to see that you were correct (been up since 4am). Surely though, by now everyone should now that we can't play any more youngsters without salary cap exemption, not that I would play them anyhow .

You must have missed the last time that bum Thompson played in the centres.

These under performing players are being paid top $$$ by the club and third parties, yes they should be dropped but with 4games to play the club has to see the season out with these types.Don,t like it but realalistically the right thing to do and not expose the younger guys to flogging s every time they play a more positive environment is the best way.

2nd tier cap issues or not, it is criminal that Ayshford, who is clearly not having a go, keeps getting selected. I think most fans would rather see the club cop a breach fine than have to watch someone with no pride in the jersey, continue to be selected

Potter said before the game last week that the senior players, such as Braith and Benj had got us into this horrible position. So they can play the season out.

The only real good thing about this is not bringing our juniors into a losing team and risk demoralising them etc.

Meaney at centre? Lol

obviously haven't seen him play in the centres before.

Thompson? Moves side to side slower than Ayshford.

i would have put Fulton at centre and bulk up the pack some more, maybe bring in bell, who can tackle

This, in my opinion, is holding players responsible our position on the ladder accountable for their performances. Embarrass them by trundling them out and making them play.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ayshford and Marshall didn't even want to play and be associated with this train wreck that has been season 2013.

There is no reason to blood any youngsters ATM.

The season is gone. Whether we finish last or 3rd last does not matter that much now, Guys like Benji, ashyford and so on might as well earn their money ( if thats possible ). We already have Farah, Woods and Lawrence out so its important we have some experience out on the paddock.

Blooding new canon fodder ATM can only do harm to a youngster confidence IMO.

Potter is in a difficult position, he's FXcked if he drops them and the season turns into a bigger farce than it already is.

As WT supporters its now important we band together for the last four games and worry about next year from Sept onwards.

I think Benji has shown poor taste in his antics with the Blue's jersey on Saturday, but I'm happy to give him the sendoff in 1st grade if only to show that we as a club are bigger than his errors in judgement.

WT in 2014.

I get more laughs reading the forum than I do the comedy channel. Some of the stuff posted on here is down right deplorable. The season is over, we have no cash to work with, we have a number of injuries Yet again, why cop a fine that we probably can't pay seeing as though the club is already in debt, and just play the season out. Albeit Anasta, Benji and Blake probably don't deserve the spots, the fact is unless we get a salary cap exemption, get used to seeing these nuggets in first grade till round 26! No, Meaney is not first grade standard, no Thompson is not first grade standard centre, let alone second-rower deserving any spot on the team. The youngens well they aint playing till we get an exemption and with the 20s going so well and looking at back to back premierships, let them try for that! We need something to look forward to in the finals!

This.I think the thread title should be renamed PACMAN(op) has lost the plot.

Anasta barely deserves to run the water and set up the cones during warm up…. Gees I wish he would go away
