How refreshing is it to hear our coach "tell it like it is"..

Potters comments about the teams performance was spot on..you can hear he is very disappointed in how the team played.. his "its not due to lack of practice" comment infers some of the players are just not playing up to scratch...and he didn't sound happy with their performance....

Sounds like he's not convinced on either Moltzen or Tedesco...

It's clear that Potter is making many assessments of the players this year....I would not be surprised to see a massive clean out at the end of the year...if we don't come good..

Potter is a good coach...he just doesn't have the cattle that Robinson and Maguire have

I feel sorry for him. He has been left with a roster that is very unbalanced with many under-performing players. Now the injury tornado is in full swing. It will be a hell of a long year and it will be rough for him, ill judge him more on how we keep competing and how he reshapes the roster later in the year and into 2014, 15\. He needs that long and I hope he is given that time.

I have no doubt when he got the job and saw the roster there must have been some part of him that said ''wtf was the guy on?''

Actually if you go and listen to the official after match presser at weststigers.com.au, you will get a much better feel for Potters thoughts on the fullback role…." I thought Tedesco was great today and Moltzen contributed...... a bit"

The fact that in the interview you linked he says he isn't convinced its working fills me with hope that he can see what most of us see.

I'm just gonna call it now. Moltz will NOT be playing fullback. Hopefully at 5/8 or wing. Likely to be wing i think. Based on both his comments and the way they've been playing the last few weeks and their constant switching.

Yeah I got the same impression from the presser on the tigers site. Don't think he is really that impressed with moltz.
Also found it interesting that robbie said he isn't happy with what soward said either. I really hope soward didn't go there. Robbie shoulda decked him anyway smug little turd

Said he didn't want to make to many changes but he seemed to make a lot of them and all wrong! Now he's not happy with Moltzen and teddy? Should have put Moltzen in halves with curtis and teddy to fullback from the start shift anasta back to lock !!! And what about Lawrence.

I've been impressed with Potter's persona so far. Even today after losing a tight one, he still managed to keep his humour and remain stern. Proves he's got the cool head. I think he can see there's a lot of work to do and that it's not going to happen quickly. Injuries have only added to the pain but on the bright side, at least he's getting a good look on field at his squad.

the one thing we have learnt from that is Potter is not happy with the lack of talk coming from both side of the ruck

Very obvious that is the issue with Miller and sounds like the same with Sirro

Moltzen 's talk mightn't always be positive ,but it is talk ,wonder if he will be next off the production line to have a shot @6 or 7

He doesn't strike me as someone who would be a great man manager or communicator - he seems like a quite a reserved type of guy. This of course could be just his media persona (aka Bennett).

I do think though he summed it up well when he said that there really isn't anyone out there supporting Robbie. The long silence when questioned about Moltzen and Teddy was interesting - he wasn't happy!

Keep with sirro until injuries return I think. Mightn't be a big talker but he literally got thrown into a 1st grade side. Miller had 2 months and 4 rounds training there. Plus, braith was doing a decent amount of talking so there wasn't as big a need for sirro to talk. But benji isn't an organiser, miller was supposed to be one…

i think he is the right person to dig us out of this hole, the person to get us to the finals.. however i have sincere doubt for some reason if he can get us a premiership tbh

it's a long way away, so no point thinking about it probably

That's the one from the Tigers website.

Good to hear our coach doesn't sugarcoat everything. Or complain about and articulate everything. He knows what's what, we had a poor performance and it's exactly like ABC said, back to the drawing board for Wests.

What wasn't he happy about ?
