Might lose Teddy in Origin?

Matty Johns just mentioned that with Brett Morris and Blake ferguson out of the running for origin 1 at least a few people might be called into the side. He mentioned richards, which i think is very unlikely given it could be his last year in the NRL.

But Tedesco on the wing? Could be a real possibility.

Right now i think loz would be thinking about something like this

1\. Brett Stewart
2\. Daniel Tupou
3\. Josh Morris
4\. Michael Jennings
5\. Alex Johnston/Tedesco

thoughts?

I've watched Uate play and he seems to have turned his form around

That would be my pick

Probably will depend who Qld play on the wing if Boyd isn't fit ??

I think there would be better options from the wing stocks in the NRL then having to resort to picking a fullback there. I really hate it when they do that. I can understand centres to the wings and vice versa, even fullbacks to the centres, but a good fullback is wasted on the wing, imo.

Sorry pHyR3, that's my long winded way of saying I don't agree with it

laurie daley has already said he doesn't think Teddy is ready for origin. you'd think that would stop the speculation right there, obviously not..

Is the Matauti (spelling?) brother from Newcastle that played for Australia a NS Welshman. I think he's been playing NSW Cup, but he'd have to come into consideration wouldn't he? Not that I was overly impressed with his Kangaroos debut and not sure about having a bloke that cant get in First Grade in S.O.O. Nothing suprises with Daley though.

Hows Michael Gordon been playing? He might be a chance for either fullback or wing.

Richards wouldn't let anyone down and brings alot with his kicking game, but just lacks that bit of extra speed at his age for Origin.

Can't see why Tedesco couldn't make a go if it on the wing in Origin.

he said that last week, and since then 1 origin certainty and another strong possibility have both been ruled out.

if another 1 or 2 outside backs, say josh morris and brett stewart were injured teddy would be a certainty i reckon. even though he said 'tedesco isnt ready'

.

He's been playing first grade. Coming off the bench to replace Gidley at Full back. The kids good but he won't make origin this year. Likewise Teddy, can't see him playing wing. Perhaps next year.

Like I said before I can see Sironen in the blues squad in the near future. His versatlity would suit origin. Similar to Moylan's versatility.

well sure if all the potential origin candidates get injured then he would have to pick teddy. but as of right now there are still alot of players that daley would pick ahead of him.

Unless he can't walk Dugan will be in the team.

He wont be considered early in the campaign.

Id say Dugan would be first choice fullback.

The wings will be between Toupou, Mansour, Johnson and all the Newcastle guys (McManus, Uate & Sione) assuming B Morris is ruled out.

Dugan
Topou
Jennings
Walker
Johnston
Reynolds - just for the biff!
Hodkinson

Have Morris on the bench or 18th

Tedesco is no chance for origin this year.

I thought he was a chance but the more i think about it the more i agree with Laurie Daley.

He hasn't played finals football yet, hasn't had to perform under pressure. Until we see how he performs under those circumstances I don't think he is ready for origin.

He will one day be a great player for NSW, just has to bide his time.

I think you're right, that's a very good selection of outside backs.

Absolutely zero chance Tedesco plays origin this year, barring some sort of Ebola outbreak around the rest of the comp. He'd be lucky to be fourth in line for fullback and there is no way in hell he's going to get picked to play anywhere else, given he's never even played first grade in any position other than full back. Who is going to pick a 21-year-old kid with fewer than 50 first grade games for their origin debut - out of position. Richards has more chance.

Yep was reading through the others and getting to the bottom to post this as well. Mansour was in the Aussie team and was the best winger in the comp last year and he does the hard yards you need from a winger especially as Tupou isn't really that type

I agree with what you are saying re. Teddy not ready though he came into first grade on the wing with moltzen at fullback and has played internationals (granted for Italy) in the centres
