Mitch Brown appreciation thread sign in..

Brown would be in the starting backline of any other team in the comp every week.

He is big, strong, fast, awesome under the high ball and makes good decisions in defence. What else can you ask for in a back?

A TV gig and close friendships with the playmakers

Hahaa good call.

His contract expires with us this year doesn't it? I'd expect someone like souffs or parra to throw big money at him

Great game - plenty of people (including me)had been saying from the beginning he should have been there instead of Utai - glad I was proved wrong about Utai but still think Brown should stay in the starting team somewhere.
Hard to move him to fullback with McKinnon going great as well- looks like he will stay on the wing

he was outstanding last night, when he retrieved the loose ball and brought it back in the field of play, i was like wow! that was really good

He had a blinder! Well done mitch!

And Matt Utai also played out of skin too taking on huge guys like inglis lol!

And McKinnon was great too, the list is huge lol, but when he had to chop the legs to stop that try near the end i was like well done *Applause.

With Daniela gone for the season with a pectoral tear Mitch should be next in line for left centre with Sammy Latu on the wing - unless Sheensy gives Josh Davis a run!

Well I guess todays game is a audition in front of Sheens for the vacant spot

I never knew Beau Ryan was a centre….

Thinking about it now, that would make sense and save his job.

Keep Brown on the wing, and get beau to play centre in lieu of Daniella until Lawrence is back (christ, here we are discussing replacements for replacements, for replacments)

This of course if Beau is back next week....

He is a great worker, great under the high ball, sometimes doesn't read the plays but most often does. He is a gem.

One thing I think he may be missing is communication, and also positioning, Sandow got a 40/20 on his side of the wing, and kept targeting that side.

Brown was great last night, defused several dangerous kicks and ran the ball hard as usual. I'd like the Tigers to keep him, but if they're throwing $500k per season at Blair then it's hard to see them offering Brown an extension - on the provision they get Blair.

For what it's worth I throw in my appreciation as well for the great game Mitch played last night, carried on from last year.

Think I would rather keep Brown, Plus most of the young brigade together rather than spend all that dosh on one player, Although Im not saying Blair woudn;t boost our forward stocks

he made about 5 really great plays on friday night, geez he is really impressing me when he gets some game time.

Trouble with Brown is he can't continue his good form week in week out, next week he'll go back to playing state cup style..
