Mitchell Pearce or Jackson Hastings……

No brainer, if he’s available we should try get him for next year and second year clubs favour

Nothing else available and he would make us a better side, simple as that

Give Hastings that Mbye role and play him at 14

What happened last time they both played in the same team?

Didn’t DCE also have a problem with him too though

Common denominator imo

Just think it’s sad that we’re basing our hopes on Hastings who isn’t even showing much in the ESL

I haven't been watching the ESL but he's 3rd in the league for try assists and tackle breaks and has a tackle efficiency of > 93%, which is pretty handy for someone who has been spending time at fullback. Can't be going too badly over there. We don't need him to be a player with a massive ceiling, we need him to be a player with a high floor so we can start playing with some consistency.

He's doing well over there.

I know that it’s risky given his past behaviour and injuries but I wouldn’t mind him on a two year deal especially with AD’s injury. He’s an on the ball halfback, is better at organising than Brooks, has a decent kicking game and holds up in defence. He won’t be our saviour but he wouldn’t cost more than $500,000 a year and would improve the team.

For me it would be kind of a feel good story given the family history. I wish he had more of his fathers leadership qualities though.

Stuff all the feel good story rubbish and legacies crap, Mitch has ignored all that stuff throughout his career because it didn't suite him and that now his "time in the sun" is almost over and there are no more big paydays his manager is banging that drum. Wake up to yourselves.
Just remember we are a business, Mitch's only link to the club is his father, a Balmain legend (not a West Tigers one) who was a well paid employee, he didn't do it for free nor out of love. In saying that I was a fan of the bloke, but that is the situation

There's no talk of Pearce to the Tigers by any one but the fans.

That being said,

7 Pearce
6 Benji

Could've been something special, in their prime.
They're both not what we need now tho.

People worried about Hastings and suggesting Pearce...

Sounds like something the Tigers would do.

Hastings is unproven at nrl level at present he is beating up ESL which is only marginally better than KOE Cup

I thought junior senior tried to get him a start at WT, but was rejected ?

As far as I'm aware Pearce has always opted to not be a part of the Tigers because he didnt want to be in his father's shadow...

Never been any interest from Pearce directly, not even now.

Sure.

Hastings has also tasted NRL and knows what he's in for.

Feels like he's backing himself here and im wishing him the best.

Strong suggestions that Pearce has interest from Catalan Dragons....Canberra showing interest both these clubs are offering 3 year deals...

32 yr old, limited game time this year through injury .....south of France looking a great retirement package...

source nine msn.....

I'm just putting this down to lockdown and people not thinking straight..

Even entertaining the thought is repeating past mistakes..Voldamort thought it was a great idea with Josh Reynolds too..

South of France vs the ACT 🤔

I’d be jumping at that. Earning a mint, living in the south of France for a few years. Where do I sign?
