Moltz

Leave Moltzen where his is. Full stop. Looks like the bandwagon is already starting. I'm not defending his game it was flat out rubbish today. Previous times we have seen it takes time to adjust to a new position (he was in great form during the finals) so I hope sheens and fans give him time to adjust. Gee whiz it's only round one and people are tossing up who could replace him

If we are going to persist with someone, it has to be Moltzen. Would be silly to train him there all off season/trials then dump him after 1 game where the entire side played way below their best.

Humble played a terrific game at the back and really stood up. I'd give him a shot based purely on today.

LOL. One game in and there is already a 'switch or drop Moltzen' thread.
Sheens has mentioned a few times that he has had to restructure our attack to accomodate Moltzen at half so I can't see Sheens changing his entire season's strategy after ONE game. Humble did ok at FB today, and will do ok if required against Manly however I feel we will see: 1) Reddy 7) Moltzen

Stick with him, he'll get better the more time he spends there.

Don't want him dropped. But that kind of performance does nothing for us. He needs to get involved more, take some pressure of Marshall and Farah.

It still amazes me that he apparently has "the biggest boot in the club" yet he made one general play kick today and it was terrible, straight down Gardner's throat.

We really need more from him in such a key position.

he showed very promising signs.. i also agree he should start kicking more.. farah is not a consistent good/long kicker.. sure he is going to get a few good ones away every now and then, but when you put in 100 kicks a game ur bound to get a couple of good ones every so often..

He showed me nothing today and as for his kicking game it was one kick for one bad kick so not much there either, Id leave him there cos he couldnt go that bad again but he was awful today. When you consider the halves we are up against next week it needs to be a massive improvement in 6 days!

Give him time and he will come good. His game was disrupted when he had to come off then go back on again as well. Even when he was on at the start we looked so much better in attack with him there then when he went off we lost our way a bit. Only round one guys.

I thought we looked quite good early, particularly for round 1, it wasn't till moltz came off we lost our way

He could not organize a chook raffle but on a positive side he made a couple of tackles that Lui would have had no chance at making. To late to be changing thing now

lol… wait till ck see's this thread!

He has been training there all off-season and the structure currently relies on him being there.

I say give him 6 weeks until we should be looking at any changes (unless injury occurs). The first 6 weeks of the comp is about testing combinations etc...

Dont panic yet!

Didnt see the game in its entirety (no volume on the TV where I was as well), I heard somewhere Moltz got hurt.

Is this correct
Will he be on the park on Friday??

split webbing between ring and pinkie finger -

he'll be right - he went back out there in the 2nd half, although didn't do a great deal after the injury.

 Been waiting for it Watto
Unfortunately couldn't watch the game until I got back from interstate last night.
Going by what some people said on here I was expecting to see Moltzen play the worst game any footballer had ever played .
Reality was he saved a certain try with a goal line tackle on Gallen , made 3 tackles in a row at one stage and ran and passed the ball ok in general.
Anybody who thinks he's going to take the main playmaking away from Farah or Marshall is dreaming.
Sure he made a few mistakes - but so did everybody else.
I'm pretty sure he didn't miss the entire 30 tackles we missed or dropped every ball that caused us not to complete our sets.
His injury (and it looked pretty painful when it happened) most probably had an effect on his second half.
Sheens has already said he won't be breaking up his halves - so everybody had better get used to him being there.
Utai , Lawrence and Ayshord have copped it as well but they won't be dropped either.
Even Ellis , Farah ,Galloway and Marshall have been bagged to some degree after this game.
No -one seems to want to give the Sharks any credit for playing well or take into account what a hard slog it was out there in those conditions.
Round one guys - and we won another game with Moltzen at half! :stuck_out_tongue:
