I have no doubt that if Moltz is fit we will see him playing.

I think winning a comp is worth the risk.

Definitely …...... if you asked Tim Moltzen I'm sure he'd agree

but its not…. so not worth talking about

Bit offtopic T-rexx but do you know whats wrong with Cayless and when he is back??

moltzen just fits our style of play. not a outstanding, dominant hb. he just fits for our team, we go well when he is in 7

ACL Knee reconstruction - Its 6 months before you can run lightly in a straight line. 8-9 months for twisting of the knee under natural body weight. 12 months for rigorous exposure to pressure and twisting.

If Moltz is keen on round 25 then you can only imagine that he would be returning at way below 100%.

my brother works at a cafe in five dock.
moltzen, tuiaki and ryan came in for a coffee last week.
said all three of them jumped over the barrier between the footpath and the road.
here's the view from google maps street view.
said they seemed to be moving pretty freely.
due to the angle the barrier only looks knee high, but it's around waist height

I'm not too sure….yeah I'd love to see him back in the side this year, but I'd also want him in there for next year..... if it's too risky, I'd prefer to wait, especially if things are going fine with the current squad ie, we're winning games

At 70 or 80 % still better than Lui

I personally will be more than happy if he makes a return this year .. Everyone knows their pottential and Molzten wont be silly to come back early if he is not 100%. The only scare is if crazy sheens wants to play him as fullback again.
Molzten doesnt have the best kick but he sure can break a line and thats why i vote him over Lui. Sorry Lui , you are like a B double with a full load(slow and struggling uphill) , need PACE in the number 7 spot…
We need someone taking the focus off Benji and Lui cant make that happen.

Your right mate, Moltz doesnt have the best kick…He doesnt have the ability to bust a tackle either. Lui has it all over him in these two areas..Oh, as well as reading the play better than Moltz and has a better pair of hands...
Do i have a set against Moltz? No, i think he is a talented kid but I think Lui has an allround better game.

have you been watching some other robert lui we dont know of? because in the 7 in FG moltz has been taking dump after dump on lui in every aspect…...

Lui looked quick enough when he slid through the defence to score them tries. He also makes alot of tackle breaks and has a very nice and accurate passing game. He can also kick. He is doing well for a 20 year old. He will get better with more experience. I do like Moltz in the halves with Benj but Lui isn't bad either.

'Moltz has been taking dump after dump on Lui in EVERY aspect' 😱pen_mouth: 😱pen_mouth: Ive been watching the same Robbie Lui as you Ron..Moltz finds his way to the line well and he supports play well…..um.....Thats about all he dumps on Lui

It's got a lot to do with the fact that Farah and Benji know Moltz's game better and seem to trust him more at first receiver than Lui. Lui has most definitely been playing at more of a 6 where Moltzen was playing more at 7.

That is why he is NO CHANCE of playing… he may think he is ready, but WT Mgt dont.

There is more chance of PAT RICHARDS playing for us next year then him making an early return..

Heard from someone very high up at BRET he'll be ready to go week I semis time
Coming along fine and is itching to get back

I tell u now I saw him running up steps at an RNB concert about 2weeks after the injury happen it wasnt a free run but it was still movement… I spoke to him a week ago and he says its going good and he is lookin to come back first or second week of the finals

A Moltzen return in week 1 or 2 of the semis just does not make sense to me. Assuming we make the semis, the team will most likely be fit and firing; not the time to bring in a player with no match fitness, especially at no.7\. Maybe some small merit in having him on the bench, but really, barring a horror injury run between then and now, I would pick 17 fit players who have got us there.

Great to here Tim is coming along well though. May the best man get the no.7 next year.

IF he was to play this year, this is the only role he could play. In saying that, bringing him into this role in the first or second week of the finals would be a gamble. Would much prefer if he got a couple of 10-15 minute stints in the final two round games. I would not introduce him during the finals.

It is always difficult for guys coming back from a serious injury in finals. For those with long memories, I remember the Wok bringing Langmack back into the side about a week or two out from the 1991 finals. Langmack had gone through a knee reconstruction as well. Langmack was a handy player to have coming back, but he was nowhere near his best. For that finals series, blokes like Rawlings, Lidden, Gibbs and Wynn, whilst not having the ability of Langmack, had done the job throughout the season were match fit. Obviously it was a different game back then, but match fitness always wins the argument.

We still lost though…....to Canberra who were coached by Sheens. Damn Sheens!
