Whatever happens we need to somehow fit him in.

Thats just hillarious.

What`s hillarious?
I`m sick of saying this, but for the 100th time, if it`s ok to be an NRL class fullback, but lacking in pace, why don`t the other 15 NRL clubs agree???
If it was ok the have someone at the back who is very slow, but a great bomb taker, we`ll there is a bloke called Brent Kite, a Canberra junior with an AFL background who played a few first grade games for the Bulldogs a couple of seasons back and is now captain coach back at his home town (Temora i think?) in Group 9.
This bloke is big and strong & can catch a high ball as good if not better than any NRL fullback running around at the moment.
But do you know what there is a good reason why he cannot get a contract with an NRL club, HE`S TOO SLOW!!!

Brent Kite a fullback???

I think you mean Brent Crisp!!!

The best fullbacks in todays game is probably the fittest fastest and most athletic and thats something you cant coach.examples of this are slater boyd stuart mini hayne, barba, dugan etc and even though some of them are good under the high ball its not one of the most important parts of a fullbacks game.

And besides im pretty sure most kicks are going towards the wingers these days so a big strong fast winger thats good under the high ball like lote for instance

Is Lote genuinely that good under the high ball????

Do you know that MacKinnon was one of the best metre return fullbacks still after missing a week according to RLW . He might be slow but he seems to find yardage Pity Moltzen with soooo much speed can't do the same .

Agree to a point tiger4ever, but you need your fullback to put his body on the line…in quite a few circumstances, he is your last hope. This hasnt been happening.

Gaining territory quickly is just as vital. Our forwards always look buggered, this has to be blamed in some part because of ineffective kick returns that require them to trudge 30 meters back down field so they can re-start their job of rucking it back up....again this hasnt been happening.

I'm interested to see how Moltz goes in the centers this week. If he is given room to move against a retreating or sliding line he could be destructive. If we keep him out of fullback, peoples attitudes towards his game will change as he can play.

Defo think his only place on this team is bench utility.
Lui is undoubtedly the better half and we have better full backs, even Beau Ryan is better @ #1
So he can fit in as an impact bench utility player.

Don't disagree I m bagging him as a very bad fullback he will appreciate being in the centres and I expect to see a much improved performance as a centre Good luck Tim

I reckon changing his position, often last minute, cant be helping.
If they are going to play him at fullback, they should at least name him there, train him there all week etc… moving him last minute is not the go.

I unlike many others here, think he has to fit in the starting backline somewhere.

I'd make him halfback, but that seems unlikely at the moment.
