AMF BOWLING AND WESTS TIGERS JOIN FORCES
10/09/2010 9:23:39 AM
Wests Tigers have teamed up with AMF Bowling in an agreement that will see the leading entertainment brand become one of the Club’s Premium Membership partners.

The deal includes a number of benefits that range from joint promotions, free giveaways as well as added involvement in the Club’s Post Match Presentations whereby AMF Bowling will provide the Players’ Player Trophy.

There will also be a Wests Tigers Membership Drive event at AMF Bowling North Strathfield and Macarthur in the coming months.

Commenting on the deal, Wests Tigers General Manager Brett Clarke said, “We’re really looking forward to working with AMF Bowling in the coming months and into next season. This partnership gives our Members some additional benefits which is fantastic and I hope that AMF Bowling’s involvement with the Wests Tigers will give them some extra exposure in their attempts to promote their exciting brand further.”

Today also marks the official launch day of the Wests Tigers 2011 Membership Program. The campaign which is entitled, “The line that divides” is encouraging fans to convert their allegiance one step further by becoming a Member and joining the Wests Tigers family.

Any New Members that join today can also take advantage of priority booking periods for any of the Wests Tigers’ Finals Series pre purchase windows.

For any existing Member, please visit weststigers.com.au/membership and follow the instructions.

Maybe they could of called it "The haves and Have nots" starting to get a bit elitist.

completely agree

Full marks for the effort, but the campaign name is really very poor

Yeah…it's a strange one...they have used similar before got a few letters from Longmuir lying around implying the same but to use it as a campaign....odd...

Aren't we all part of the Wests Tigers family already..

I like the slogan. If the marketing accompanying it is handled properly it can be a positive thing.

I can see how it may be construed by some as elitist but in reality the AFL drew this line years ago. They marketed along those lines and it was extremely effective.

The non ticketed membership or for an extra $10 the inclusion of a GA ticket seems like a positive way to provide financial support and be part of the club as a member. I understand people have issues with voting rights etc with our particular JV setup though.

For instance this time of year one may argue that the line that divides is about 24 hours in terms of ticket availability windows

will members get discounts on bowling cos hell damn 4 adults for one game is $100 bux!

It shouldn't cost that much. At Macarthur AMF at Macarthur Square it costs $14.90 for 1 game and $21.90 for 2 games.

I used to do league bowling at Macarthur AMF. If you are in a bowling league you get 4 games for $18 anytime (they call it league training) + discounts on drinks or whatever. There's a bar in there too.

I remember once Wests Tigers members went for a bowling night with the players (I think it was at Macarthur AMF). I wonder if they'll bring that back again now. It would be another good reason to become a member!
Bring it on Benji! :sunglasses:

I like the slogan. If you are a serious supporter you will become a member.

Good work Wests Tigers! :sign:

I am a member, have been since day 1 and always will be, but that slogan could have been a lot better thought out imo.

The big MEMBERS V fan placards littered around the WestsSFS was an interesting touch I thought….not to mention the free ballons...

I think the slogan is great and it tells the real story. Smeg you got it right when you mentioned the AFL did it years ago.

I think NRL teams have been too afraid to be direct in the past, but i applaud our club for having the guts.

I guess this year was the teaser with Step Up and we grew by 102% i think it said in the State iof the game report - so that worked. This is just the next step.

Well done Wests Tigers
