More Tigers problems

Col, they should support a club like the Broncos who have plenty of $$$$ and get everything they want . **What would they do then with nothing to complain about**. Oh wait, they have the right on this forum to complain and complain and complain.

Maybe umm…Ben Hunt and his inability to catch kick-off's... 😕

Got me there

The article is actually quite defamatory considering what is printed about Taylor AND the club, with none of it being backed up with evidence, concrete or otherwise. If it's so huge then why not wait until it's released? Blackmail for sure.

Likewise, why, if Robbie made this decision well before the Ballin signing, are we only hearing about his decision AFTER the signing?? (happy to be corrected on this if otherwise)

The sad part is that most of the Farah saga focuses on the statement that he'll be dropped to NSW Cup…surely he should focus on the fact that he took unders to stay with the club and now they're trying to dupe him out of it, not the reserve grade nonsense

It has been reported in the SMH as well as the DT. I'm not surprised the Taylor apologists and spin party are attacking the messenger rather than accepting there could potentially be some very serious issues if what alleged is true. In saying that, I have confidence that Pasco as a relative new comer to the club and professional will deal with the problem and resolve it.

What exactly is being alleged?

It's a secret…but the absence of Soap at Leichhardt could be a factor,,

I'm surprised the two of you weren't updated at the Taylor apologists weekly spin meeting.

What is exactly being alleged ? We could then make an informed decision no…?

So the NRLPA looking after its members' rights and conditions is poor?

It is long overdue that if behaviour or threats to those rights and conditions have been made then those responsible should be held to account.

So you think using Farah's Lawyer to do the report makes sense?

My experience is that unions are not fair at all to employers.

My experience with employers is 180 degrees about "fairness"

I might be wrong but I think you will find Leverick is the legal council that players are referred to by the RLPA when they are having contractual problems with their clubs and issues with the NRL. She is an advocate for the players specialises in Sports Law and the NRL code of conduct. Hence why she is also representing Todd Carney and Will Hopoate.

The sad thing all this press is doing our club so much harm. It really doesn't matter who is right and who is wrong or if the articles are based on fact or fiction. The bottom line mud sticks and our club is now in real serious trouble,we are now on the nose in the NRL world.

What's the answer?????Who knows but maybe both Farah and Taylor need to walk for the sake of the club but a very least one of them

Mate, I am not a fan of JT in the slightest.
I am, however, a fan of common sense.

So many people are forgetting about all the WT players who will no doubt be greatly affected throughout 2016 by this worthless dispute.

My amateur suggestion would be to conduct a private poll amongst the players seeking their responses as to whom should be capt, should JT remain as coach, should Robbie stay in the team, what do they feel comfortable with etc.. At least then the executive would know what the players feel.

I think Farah needs to go. Most issues over the past couple years have centred around him. Also if things are that bad at the place why do players sign or resign with us?

That just undermines the coach, a (C) based on popularity…who has the most mates...weve been there, players calling the shots. It doesnt work.

Very amateur

So essentially you want the players running the place. Why even have JT, or any coach for that matter. Just have the boys decide on recruitment, Captaincy and team selections.

I have not followed closely but with Potter backing Farah I am not sure of what you are getting at.

Farah missing games due to SOO I can understand both ways. Some compensation is that fans would appreciate having a SOO important player as Capt of their local team. If he grossly leads the tackle count surely he is pulling his weight on the field. If his offensive attacks are fewer in number is it due to the new coach? As capt I have often seen him sticking up for his team arguing with the ref. - anything wrong with that?

As his lawyer stated he was not issued with any notices of breaches. We know that roughly a month ago his lawyer had to find out why he was being asked to move on - as capt he can't be that dumb so he obviously wasn't told any decent reason why he had to go.

So maybe deservedly he gets his back up, deservedly considering he went along with back loading - that is now being held against him by accusing him of getting $950 for the year which is deceiving.

In a way he could be seen to be justly sticking up for the rights of all players under contracts - just most unfortunate it has to be the WT going through the drama.

My suggestion of a private poll of players was intended to cut away the hearsay and BS to try and get a better grip on what is going on - not for management to necessarily follow.

Why would they issue breach notices? They're not trying to avoid their contractual obligations by saying he's breached his, they're prepared to pay him out. I imagine that is all his playing contract entitles him to - money, not guaranteed 1st grade selection.

He should be getting advised not to do anything that risks putting him in breach though, or he risks losing a lot of money. He should knuckle down & call off these people who appear to be speaking in his interests while courting the media to dump on the club. He may not be telling them to do it but he could certainly stop them.

I agree. The players shouldn't have much if any say in the whole situation. I think its fairly obvious now that both Robbie and JT should not have their contracts renewed.

JT may have a chance to get a renewed contract but he will have to have a massively positive impact on the team over the next 2 years.

Mate! - He is going to get his full payment for the next 2 years whatever happens.
Whether he plays for us in the NRL, NSW CUP, plays for someone else or sits on his banana chair. That is not an issue. Why do people keep bringing this up?

You may not know it - but us dummies on this Forum do understand back ended contracts and how they work.

The players ran the club in Potters last half season, led by our captain and look how that turned out. A most ridiculous idea.

im just guessing here but i would say some employers issue breech notices as a tactic to fire someone.
you get 3 breech notices and they can terminate his contract and hence NOT pay him and whalllla we have approx 2 million in our cap ?

Why are so many people sticking up for Jason Taylor?
What has he ever bought to the Tigers?
No one knows what's going on and immediately crucify our club captain and life member?
Makes me wonder…..
