After his pathetic announcement in his new Auckland jersey a day after we lost to the 16th place team, I have truly had it with Benji Marshall. How dare he deliver a Mundine-like announcement while still under contract at our club…which he clearly doesn't give a shit about.

Glenn Morrison was my most hated tiger....Benji has now well and truly taken over. His show of disrespect for our club should be the final straw. He MUST be dropped for the rest of the year.
 
I just joined this forum today after been a long time reader. I love this club to death….but that announcement today really angered me.
 
Personally I would probably drop him. Although i think he did try last night and did a couple of good things. Ayshford on the other hand, can't stand the bloke, no passion, no effort every week.
 
Am I the only person who thinks today's announcement was a complete show of disrespect to our club?

I think what it shows that our club is completely fractured! How a player can be allowed to do this when we are in a battle for the spoon is beyond me. Mayer should not have allowed this to happen!
 
the Tauber show rolls on lol, drop the grub(yes that's right readers grub) right now I was at the pub last night wathing the game I knew the score my mates made sure of that and the only thing that really pissed me of was at the end someone from ch 9 interviewed princess(benchy) after the game now I couldn't hear it but princess was all smiles and joking with the ch 9 bloke now that's contempt if ever I saw it here we just lost to the last placed side and this grub is laughing and having a joke like his at a hungi now that just did me …..

It's debatable if Ashyford is even NSW cup standard,he was diabolical last night and that is being generous
 
Cmon guys it has public knowledge for three weeks he is going to Auckland

When does it matter when he releases the signing info

People should be more upset he missed the captains run last week because he was in NZ sorting his contract out

I actually thought last night was one of Benji's better games for the year
 
Bad timing more than anything, it was going to be released win or lose. And I don't think we lost because of Marshall.
 
Who the hell cares when he announces he's signed? People are just looking for reasons to hate him now, get over yourselves.

announces it mid week and people think he's doing something else when he should be training.. he just cant win.

Benji is still our player. After a super 15 season of mediocre boring rugby union he will be someone who pops up in the media because of his association with League.

Think Matt Rodgers going to union or SBW move in a less hostile way.

I was mad when I saw him in his Blues jumper this morning. Could he not have waited until the end of the year? All this carry-on about being loyal to the club and he goes and does something like that. Yuck.

You absolute tool. What should he do? If you were shafted at work to decide in 3 hrs on your future what's his choice? He needs a job like the rest of us and he is entitled to promote that.

Stop believing the hype and shit your club and the media serve up.

The guy has given 11 yrs of his life to this club giving the real fans some of the best memories we could have hoped for. He is being honest, maybe you would prefer he behaved like SBW as he seems to have been welcomed home all forgotten.

For me it isn't the timing of the announcement but rather how he did it.
Wearing the Blues jersey whilst still contracted to us…
I know the Blues aren't a rival team but it still shows disrespect in my eyes.
 
while we have open signing season i have no problem with it.
we knew it was coming and wanted it.
do we have to whine about everything.

would like a model closer to the nfl.
 
He keeps on saying how much he loves the Tigers. Well mate, if you love the club so much, why disregard the team and fly to NZ and not turn up for a training session the day before a game?

There is nothing wrong with announcing the deal in a press release, just like everyone else does.

There is a big problem wearing another teams jersey and recording a video.

It's a joke.
