Move benji on..

The first early grubber into the corner was clever if it either came off for points or pinned them back in the corner in terrible conditions as it did. The repeat of the kick a few sets later was a bit much.

I can't believe some of the stuff I read on this board. Seriously I don't get it and I'm not sure if I even want an explanation.

I cant believe the rubbish people post, dont even look at the back line to you can match the likes of the Rabbits up front. Get the forwards right and Marshall will blitz the other teams, but at present he has no hope

this guy… really.

the guy who said the NSWCUP backline is better than 1st grade.
laughable, thankfully no one listens to this kid.

Sure he will benefit from forwards rolling down the field. However we have all seen him take poor options under little to no pressure. KIcking balls out on the full, useless grubbers early in the count, crabbing sideways and throwing hospital passes. 100+ try assists over the last few years would be matched by 100+ unforced errors which put the side under pressure. He's been great for us but honestly his form over the last 18 months has been well down on that he has produced in the past. He would know that. People should not be making excuses for him. If anything Farah's game should be most hindered by our forwars but his form has been excellent the past 18 months. If your consistent and a elite player you find a way.

He has still got time to turn it around and we do need to surround him with better grunt. However some of the unforced errors he makes are nothing to do with the forwards. It's like saying Moltzen doesn't run the ball back because of the forwards. These guys need to be accountable for their performances, and then they might be able to get better.

I think there are a few putting up rubbish posts just for the sake of annoyance.

Miller your kidding yourself pal he is hopeless. Might have been good in the 20s but he is no first grader wouldn't be surprised if he gets the punt this week

I totally agree with this comment however Benji hasn't been bad so far this year. His game against Manly wasn't even ordinary. He played controlled footy with a couple of good moments and had a basically mistake free game.

He needs to run it more. That is all I can think that he needs to do.

It is as simple as this. If our forwards are getting across the advantage line with quick play the balls, Benji and Robbie will win us 75% plus of the games. Pointless getting rid of any halfback or 5/8 if your forwards don't do the job. And to think people on this forum criticized Galloway. Woods and Galloway can lay the foundation but not with a back three of Fulton, Anasta and Blair! We need Sironen to play lock in the future and find some decent back rowers!
And as I have said on numerous occasions Miller needs to improve his long kicking game if he is to be our permanent number 7!

I know! Why don't we pull all of these threads together and just sack everyone; players, coaching staff, management, the whole bloody lot! Posters on this forum clearly know more about the game than these professionals, so we get rid of them all and replace them with…. well um, anyway there wouldn't be a shortage of suggestions on here.

That's true we need forwards going forward but Anasta, Fulton and Blair are going to be in the team for at least a couple of more years.
All 3 won the lottery, blame Sheens all you want but Fulton was resigned by Potter.

Unless it is written into their contracts, what's to stop potter from dropping anasta and blair? They shouldn't be automatic selections due to the amount of money they're on. The best players in each position should and WILL be picked. I think potter is giving the incumbents a chance to prove their worth and by a certain round, he will have made up his mind on the team HE wants with the current players we have.

Sterlo mentioned today during the Gold Coast Penrith game, that the Titans in releasing Prince gained a whole new personality as a team by recruiting & showing faith in their new halves pairing of Kelly & Seizer

Ive sometimes these last few years thought the same with us.

The games changed dramatically but we really havent rolled with the times.

We refuse to assemble the team (since Princes departure) that Marshall needs to be able to play to his strengths….so why keep him on?

We keep him on because for a long time he had the "Sheens go I go clause"...we also keep him on because he's a one of a kind player, and he's great off field exposure and marketing for the club....but onfield he cant do it all on his own and we have not helped him through recruitment

I wouldn't be all against moving Benji on..

I do think a little bit of the club culture will die, I don't mean to sound like a sad sack but it is a little true to some extent. He's been here for years since he debuted in 2003? (I think) All the kids love him, he brings excitement and passion into our games, well at least he has in previous years.

I thought that bringing Potter into the team would freshen us up a bit and ignite and spark something in Marshall but I think honestly he needs a fresh new start, either that or his prime has unfortunately passed him.

Reality is, we have youngsters coming through the ranks and I'm sure most are sick of hearing the same thing over and over, but Brooks is a future prospect for sure and I certainly believe Miller is yet to show us what he really can serve up on the field.

In saying all this, I am not prepared to write Benji off yet. He has plenty of opportunity to relive his Magic years.
