SO? What did you think of it?

They could have made it better. I found myself laughing at times during the movie because it got a bit silly.

Yeah. It was not a movie I would bother recommending to anyone esle. It was too silly. It was also failry boring … like watching someone else's home videos...

I guess you wont be watching this movie then:
Paranormal Activity 2

Just got home from the first screening of Eclipse. A lot of cheeky bits in the movie. Best line in it was - "Let's face it, I'm hotter than you." bwhahaha loved it.

I'm watching that Short Circuit movie on STARPICS 1 channel on Foxtel. I love that movie.

I wanna go watch the new twilight…. think i might go with the 'almost' girlfriend. :stuck_out_tongue:

 Yeah I'd definetly take a girl to watch that one mate other wise you may leave with an "almost" boyfriend

I have seen a few flicks over the last couple of days. Saw Knight and Day, it's rubbish. Toy Story 3 is excellent and the 3-D version works very well, it's probably more suited for adults than kids with a lot of the humour. And today i saw Predators which was good, and far superior to the AVP films.

Next on the must-see list is Inception which could very well be the best film of the year.

Wow it must be good then! I'm gonna see that soon and I'll probably check out Inception too.

Saw Inception tonight and it was terrific. Was kind of, just a little disappointed as it was a bit different to what I had expected, I was picturing a Kubrick/Lynch type mindf*** - a real puzzle of a film which would require multiple viewings to really dig down deep and understand it all. But also pleasantly surprised because it was an incredibly thrilling experience.

Really its just a big crowd pleasing actioneer. Its all pretty up front, not terribly twisty or confusing, not much beneath the surface. Not like the matrix sequels which were so dense with religious subtext and complex philosophical themes that they became a putrid mess. First hour is mostly exposition.. the 90 minutes that follows is unbelievably intense. Soundtrack kicked ass. Great cast, Leo is Leo. Marion Cotillard is radiant. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a badass and Ken Watanabe still has an amazing screen presence. Very highly recommended.

I saw Predators tonight at Macarthur Square Event Cinemas. Heaps good movie!

I can't wait for Resident Evil - Afterlife to come out! It's in 3D!

Great review Danos….my thoughts exactly....this film is outstanding, I was rivetted the whole time. Man cant DiCaprio pick a good role?

To anyone out there not sure about this one my advice is just go and see it. It's a minimum 9/10 for me.

The Wrong Man - Year 2006 - Morgan Freeman,Ben Kingsley, Bruce Willis

This movie is in my Top 20!

Pretty sure I've seen that one…Josh Hartnet and Lucy Lui as well? Was called something else though.

This is Zack Snyder's (300, Watchmen) latest film called Suckerpunch. It has some of the most striking visuals i've seen, although what it's about I have no idea…

There are also a couple of action flicks involving cars, one with Nicholas Cage called Drive Angry which is shot in 3D:

And another one with the Rock called Faster:

For the horror/thriller fans out there, Devil looks alright:

Red starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren looks ok too for the action fans:

Agree, great concept, brilliant direction, great cast, good acting, brilliant set pieces and cinematography, soundtrack is also excellent. It's up there with the best films I've seen that's for sure.

we all have different tastes in movies but im alway open to broadening my spectrum of movies to watch….im not talking about current movies out at cinemas but movies from the past that may not have been "big" budget blockbusters but are quite good movies.

anyway if you havent seen these ones next time you pop into your local video store pick them up

*Basketball diaries - stars leonardo dicaprio

*american history X - stars edward norton

*primal fear - stars edward norton richard gere

*american pshyco - stars cristian bale

*jay and silent bob strike back - you have to have a pretty broad sense of humour for this movie

add on if you wish
