There are other users who can give a far more accurate answer, but from the handful of games I've seen and stuff I've read, he has been going ok.

++ has been heavily involved in BRET's attack all season, scoring and setting up many tries
+ training with the full-time squad
+/- has been shifted to 5/8 in recent weeks with meany dropping to fullback
+/- defensively he is improving but not as solid as other fullbacks (apparently)

I believe the general consensus is that no one doubts that he has a LOT of talent. Of the games i've seen him play he has torn teams apart by simply chiming into the backline at the right time or putting in great kicks or passes to put people over. The fact that he features heavily in the match reports each week says something. There are still reservations over his defence, but as expected it has been improving.

Smeg, alad or others can give a more detailed and fairer assessment though

Maybe thats why he has been moved to five eight to work on his defence . Ideal place for him to work on it

but as he is small,
do people just assume he is a terrible defender?

does he atleast contest for the high balls?
