Must win game

Its quite simple.
Win next week or say goodnite.

Only once in the 13 years since 2000 has a team on 2 comp points at round 7 gone on to feature in the finals.
Canberra in 2003 stumbled into 8th spot, winning 10, losing 13 and one draw with a points diff of -170.
Promptly ousted in week one.

We're pretty much cactus as it is though, just a few stats to ponder.
You know its dire when youre calculating at round 6.
Makes it a tough year though when you see what fans like the sharkies are getting tonite

If there is a team that could break history in that regard its the tigers, I wouldn't write the season off until we are mathematically out of it. I don't think we have a premiership side mind you, but a top 8 side yes.

Very true, but I can't begrudge them some success this year - they've had a terrible decade!

I remember before the season started a few people laughing at Flanagan saying he has nothing. Doing a pretty good job atm

Ink I don't quite agree Plus records are made to be broken

It will make it a special season if we can

You can disagree
You can share that too
Or not

For all I know the season maybe over now But we may get a lot out of this season either way

A lot of our younger players are getting valuable experience we could put them in great stead for the future and could save us a lot of money buying experienced forwards

12 years of statistics is too small a sample to accurately predict anything.
Anything could happen, and it probably will.

Yes, I remember this too.

Sharks have always had a go and defended reasonably but Carney gives them a new dimension. They also have a great pack that goes forward. Look how many props Flanagan bought in the off season. As they say you can never have too many props.

But no coach is better for us than Sheens… :master:

I still wouldn't feed any of their outside backs except for Gardner. Thats where they let themselves down imo. If they had a gun centre like Jennings or Lawrence and a couple wingers with pace they'd be dead-set premiership contenders imo, because they don't lack anything else. But its true what you say, for all the Sharkies faults over the last 3 or 4 yrs, 1 thing they've never ever lacked is ticker. They turn up every week and have a go. They've just lacked strike in the past. Something Carney has brought

True their backs are terrible. But for all the maligning of Best and Pomeroy, both were great tonight and have been good value this year.

Gold coast paid big for idris, have some rep players but are also 1 from 6

Parra is not far behind them also

usually I try to post alot of optimism, and look at the best positive outcome in all situations.

cold hard facts, that are staring us all in the face, that wests-tigers are not performing and on current form may not make the top 8\. you only get judged on past performances, and this season, well… we have all seen what's happended.

**_no use blaming injuiries, all teams get them, and appear to cope better._**who knows it may all turn around in game against penrith.
I truly hope so.

yes its a must win game, not only for the two points, but to regain a bit of confidence, all round

ITS NOW OR NEVER FOR SEASON 2012
