My first time watching Nofoaluma play

I too watched him closely on Saturday and was impressed. His try from dummy half was pure power and speed. His try saving tackle towards the end of the game was also impressive. I still believe he doesnt command a walkup start to firsts as some of our younger members here do but he will be there at some stage.

To be honest he didn't look that fast to me, at one stage late in the game the roosters kicked through from a scrum and the roosters winger looked A LOT faster, david knocked the ball on and the roosters got the ball back 30 out from our line. Maybe he just wasn't trying as hard, what players would you compare him to speed-wise?

He is a great dummy half runner and makes most of his tackle busts from there. He still can do the same playing from centre and is a strong defender, is capable of playing in either position at NRL level. He has plenty of speed too, obviously not as fast as Koirobeti but can motor.

HE HAS MORE TALANT THAN TEDESCO, AND HE WILL MAKE A GREAT CENTRE WITH HIS POWER RUNS, HOPE HE GETS A GO NEXT YEAR.

A few years back people used to debate who was better of the 2, he is of similar class IMO.

Im thinking wing at the moment as his long term spot.

Probably right goose…have watched him a lot this year and think a similar player to Utai but is far more confident under the high ball despite his lack of height. He got injured mid season and then again against storm when he scored that miraculous try from a miller cross kick that won us the game. Think his speed has been affected a bit from the 2 ankle injuries but should come back again when he is fully recovered. Willow has said that he turned down the chance to train with NRL team last off season so will be interesting to see if he does same this year. Based on the skills he showed this year he should be a contender for both wing & full back

He didn't turn down the chance. He was offered the chance and failed to turn up to training. As punishment he was relegated back to the NYC squad for off-season training.

I am the same age and have played against both players at rep level given a choice Tedesco is the stand out player of the two I want in my team.
Having talent is one thing commitment is another.
Tedesco has player of the year awards in HM, SG Ball, NYC and has played 1st Grade Nofoaluma hasn't.
That would give a fair indication as to which player is more talented and committed.

Can't see David being a centre in the near future his not one to pass the ball, he will be on the wing and if he gets a go next year is up to him.

I have greater raps on Nofoaluma than Koroibete.

And to think Nofoaluma is playing injured

But like Anasta said in Semi his still has stuff to work on in his game to make the improvement need to step up to FG from 20's

Good post and hard to argue with, I reckon we will find room for the pair of them…..

Agree
The benefit is they know each others game having both been in the same teams at junior level and no reason why they can't both be in the same team in 1st Grade next year and another 10 after that.
