Lack of size in many positions has been a major contributor to our injury toll. It also helps less skilful sides get the better of us, the opposition sides size is killing us. In future target only bigger players as signings.
Defence is an area that looks Ike there is no improvement. Teams keep rolling forward as we never seem to apply or adopt to 3-4 player tackles. To many seem to be watching or confused in their defensive roll. Blame must be contributed to defensive structure and coaches. Player attitude is questioned and as a direct result new coaches and strategies are needed for our defensive problems to be fixed.
A quality halves mentor is needed for Brooks and Moses. While very skilful, both these young guns are very impressionable and are sponges for knowledge, if left to their own, a lack of quality feedback and input could stall or even damage their rise, as playing and losing games regularly will lead them to believe they have don't have what it takes. Not acting can result in the fast tracking to the NRL scrap heap.
Overspending and underspending in various positions.
While we have our dummy half position covered for the next 3-4 years, the cost is resulting in Farah taking up a potential of adding 2-3 top players to our squad. Our salary cap doesn't seem to be managed properly. We face the same problem in the coming years with the upgrades of Brooks and Moses. The way we spend might result in repeating history and having quality halves with a poor quality roster. As much as Farah is needed, we won't be winning no titles in the next few years, make a decision for our future now, Farah or future.
Scrap suburban grounds. For the players and fans sake, one ground is needed. Make ANZ our full time home ground. Many benefits in doing so that include, guaranteed gates, player and supporter stability but most importantly killing off the Magpies v Balmain agenda, one ground with no ties will deliver harmony.
