My six year old

It is really hard on the little ones… This game reminded me of the day I was sitting at the SCG and my boy was in tears.

I think it was the last game Benji was his favourite player... Since then he has always liked Robbie more?!
 
I begged myself to get up and leave at halftime. But I kept thinking that maybe they could show something in the second half.

I was in the carpark by the 50th minute.

Well done to all of the Tigers fans who were able to get there. It was a tough day watching the U20s throw it away and then struggling through first grade.
 
I begged my Mrs to let me go home 10 mins from fulltime, but we stayed & had to listen to the "Click Go the Shears Song" [again]. Very sad.
 
haha me too Bob. I didnt even watch the last 20 minutes…we scored I think.

The U/20's were disgraceful as well.
 
I left with 10 to go. My 8 & 9 year olds found it cold, and reminded me we can't win. Good enough for me. I know we lost, but I'm happy to say SUCKED IN SOUTHS SUPPORTERS you never held us to zero. In all truth the game was long gone, this was the only thing that kept me interested.

Wanted too as well but was lucky to be invited to a corporate box and was not going to pass the hospitality up no matter how bad I felt personally. Worse still it was next to the team rabbits corporate box where GI and co were making frequent visits.
 
My Kids (8, 6 and 3) think we wont today, and that the Dogs are coming last.

The loss against the Dragons in the finals in 2010 my young bloke was just angry, then the Warriors loss in 2011 he sobbed all the way out of the stadium. From then on he refuses to leave the gound until the final siren regardless of the score. I admire that in him as a supporter. He gets that it can be ugly sometimes and extremely frustrating, but I think he already sees that sucking up the bad stuff and sticking with your team can also bring a lot of excitement, joy and wonderful bonding memories. I love listening to him speak with frustration about our beloved Tigers with hope still in his tone and also being able to applaud good play from the opposition. Character building, for us all.
 
I'm planning to take my 5 year old to his first game in the next few weeks, probably against the Dragons. I just hope we put in a good performance because I don't think he will take a flogging well…

WOW! Talk about a silver lining! Not keeping us to zero is one thing, but "sucked in Souths supporters"? Really? Man, that's funny.

My 8 year old has already been blooded,he's already battle hardened, he knows what to expect! He said to me at half-time , that's our season over hey dad !
