Nathan Brown

I woulda been cranky too being held back while someone used my head as a punching bag. Sure he carried on a bit but I can see why

Wow. That looked real bad. Not the fight, but the way he carried on. Reckon he might go "byes byes" for quite a few weeks. Full credit to Rudolph.

He'll spend a few months watching the game with the fans. Silly brain explosion. Bloody testosterone!!!!

Adam Gee should be promoted to the NRL. Well handled.

He made a few mistakes throughout the game. I thought the bloke who handled State Cup was good. He seem far leas intrusive than first grade refs.

You'd have to think he will get a Grade 5 contrary conduct ( or bringing the game into disrepute charge )

6 - 8 weeks at the minimum

That was well handled by the refs, that Nathan Brown not wanting to go off and carrying on, what a tool, however he was being held while the other Raider was punching on. Probably wouldn't be seeing too much time away from the game if he had just walked off though.

Mac's point is 100% correct. i just watched it again. brown did not throw a single punch. that no.13? should be banned for a long loooooong time and if brown get any time out- he should contest it.

he looked like a tool at the end but there was no way he even threw one punch

Correct- if Brown had controlled himself after the incident, he would little to answer. He was held and punched, ala Gary Jack/Ian Roberts.

His issues stem from the behaviour after the fight.

I've just got a feeling these guys might be made scapegoats to prove the ARLC aren't messing around

With the Dank /Cronulla situation still pending ,Dugan ,Ferguson,Burgess incidents that the NRL have had enough and the integrity commission might go in hard

As well they might. Looking at the incident again, there will be about 3 guys from both sides that will see some time off. Obviously Brown and Barnett will see the majority of that - anything less than 6 weeks will be a surprise.

But can the NRL suspend players for acting like a twat? Would happen all the time if so.

Brown got punched and wanted to get one back on the guys who were holding and punching him. Fair enough. Raiders players will be a off for a long time as they were the ones throwing and landing punches. Pangai our for 4-5 weeks and Barnett out for 6-10 weeks.

Brown might get a couple, but in reality he only acted in an unsportsmanlike manner, or bringing the game into disrepute.

Yes his behaviour afterwards was wrong, but this rivalry has been brewing for a few years and Brown may have seen much of it. He should be punished internally by the club, not by the NRL. We also need players like this in first grade in the future. Not the same bunch of softies and patty cakes we usually have.

From my perspective he looked like a tool. I'd like some fire in my team but playing tough and being intimidating is good, but wanting to fight and being a loud mouth is different. The way I saw it the 13 got the better of him.

Let the football talk Brown, if he didn't lose it he could just run over someone in the next run.

I'd be ropable if were him too.

His behaviour afterwards towards Rudolph and training staff was ordinary and he should cop some disciplinary action from the club for his actions toward his own team mates and staff, but I don't see anything wrong with him wanting to get square on the bloke that cheap shotted him.

I suppose we will have to wait until thurs night, to know the outcome of all this.
as would be very surprised if judiciary meetings are on when Origin is played.

Canberra 17 and 13 should get more time than Brown or Lovett imo from the NRLC. Brown and Lovett should get it for retaliating.

Brown's NRL imposed suspension shouldn't be that bad because he didn't do a whole lot in the fight. The club should discipline him for the carry on of course and by the looks of things he needs to smarten up a fair bit.

Well done to Rudolph, Santi and the other guys who tried to break it up and hold Brown back.
