Penrith have a better roster and his son there . Above everything coaches want to win. And they go on about the unique opportunity of working together as player and coach .I wouldn’t rule it out until Ivan puts it to bed himself.

He's been shafted by the Panthers once (Gould in particular). Gould has just demonstrated that he's still quite prepared to shaft a coach under contract. **Why would anyone voluntarily put themselves in a position where they could be sacked by the same flog twice in their career?**

I dunno?
To coach his son, and double his pay packet??

Gould may as well just coach them himself, since he's never happy with anyone else who does. Fancy getting rid of a guy who has the team in the top 4 four weeks out from the finals - way to derail your team's season! :crazy

Not really ….
It’s been said that in all of Penrith’s double digit comebacks this season the players have had to abandon Griffins game plan to do so !

I think Cameron Ciraldo will get the fulltime gig .

He doesn't have to go there to coach his son. If he tries to walk out on us to go to the Panthers it will involve shafting his mate Pascoe who brought him here and shafting guys like Packer and Matulino who signed lengthy contracts to play under him. He'd do massive damage to his reputation and would probably cost himself a fair few mates and a lot of respect.

If Ciraldo is the man, why is Gus saying they are waiting or a response from the guy they want - Giving him this year to settle in before signed?

Uncle Wayne more likely

The "smart money" is wrong

Gould said he wants a man with proven NRL experience and is waiting for an answer from them having contacted them,

I don't think Ciraldo fits that bill.

Hmmm,
Gus has been quoted as saying his ready to move on from the role once he knows everything is in good hands.
When Ivan was planing on signing with us when asked for his thoughts. He said I don’t know.
His been successful as a coach that rebuilds a club but I feel even though that appears to be his strength the tigers need him more than he needs them.
He also mentioned that he would prefer to see Ivan work his craft at a successful club and a not rebuilding club.
Finally, I can’t remember the exact words, but he mentioned if NC came to me and said I wanna be coached by my dad that I will give him his blessing and help set it up….
Didn’t say anything about releasing him to another club.

Who knows? All I know is I was told that Ciraldo was shaping as their long term coach. I don't begin to believe I can analyse Phil Gould's thought process. If he said that and sacked Griffin before he got an answer well that's just dumb.

Anyway as I always say I just pass on what I hear. Make of it what you will.

My source is my television and listening to Phil Gould speak.

He said he has already contacted a person asking if they want the job in 2019\. He is waiting for an answer. Does he want a proven NRL experience coach "Abserloutly".

I’m putting my money on Wayne Bennett joining the panthers in 2019 and panthers winning a comp under him in the next 2/3 years.
